i roll out of bed, and put on whatever's near me. i spent the whole night watching all of, matt's, old videos, ready to expose him.
what?
i know, i know, i sound like a complete psychopath. but when a seventeen year old girl is bored, has nothing to do, and only has five months until graduation, she gets pretty desperate for some adventure.
i've been living in this same old town, with the same old people, and reliving the same old memories. i want some change. i want some excitement around here.
at this point, i'm willing to go to any extent to get some excitement, some fun, before graduation. even if i might get my arm ripped off by, matt, from just trying to expose him.
he's actually pretty scary. everyone is scared of him, but everyone adores him at the same time. i haven't seen anyone have the courage to look at him straight in the eye. yeah, it's that bad.
but he's my gateway for some fun. if i blackmail him, i know it's gonna be one hell of a fun rollercoaster. well, for me at least.
i hurry down the stairs while adjusting my backpack, and also tripping a couple times along the way, "honey, why are you in such a rush?" my mom stares at me confusingly with her hands on her hips.
i get to the bottom of the stairs, and speed walk into the kitchen for a granola bar, "i'm just super excited today." i refer to what i discovered last night.
i open the pantry door and snatch a granola bar quickly, and rush out the door, "bye mom, i love you!"
"i love you too, everlee!" i lastly hear along with the door shutting behind me.
i finally calm down and open my car, i place my backpack in the passenger seat and watch my head as i get in. i enter the key and hear the engine start up, i look out the window and also see, matt, getting out of his house.
he's wearing all black today, a black t-shirt, black jeans, and black shoes. his dark hair is messy and it pulls together his whole look. i squint to try to get a good look on his face, he looks as if he hadn't slept all night.
he turns his head and we make direct eye contact. i look away quickly and gulp, man he is scary and intimidating just by making eye contact. no wonder no one likes to look at him in the eye.
i back out of the driveway and finally head down the road, now it's time to think about how i'm going to execute this plan.
-
i run into the school, nearly knocking down everyone in my way.
"hey, watch it!" i hear a girl say frustrated.
"sorry!" i look back, yet still running.
i turn the corner and spot, ian, waiting by his locker. i run even faster which causes even more attention towards me.
ian stops me before i crash into him,
"everlee, stop running! you're gonna hurt somebody!" he chuckles.ian, is the cool friend. yet alone, my only friend. he has the best style, and these really cute round black glasses. he's really someone that i admire.
