"girl, then what did he say?" ian, says excitedly over the phone. we've been on the phone talking since we both got home from school, so it's been a couple of hours.
i pace around my room, "he said that he'll help me do it!" i squeal, "oh my god, you should've been there, everything went perfectly."
"everlee, you're crazy for doing this, but i have to admit, your plan isn't bad." he finally admits.
"don't i know it!"
he laughs over the phone, "well, i have to go help my mom make dinner. i'll talk to you later, babe."
"alright, talk to you later, ian." i hang up, and toss my phone onto my bed.
"you done now?" i jump from hearing the familiar voice out of nowhere. i look out my window and spot, matt, with his arms crossed, and head hanging out his window.
"what the hell? why are you eavesdropping?" i almost yell.
"the whole block can hear you, but don't worry i'm not into your conversations." he says.
"matt, who are you talking to?" i hear a voice behind him, coming from his room.
a dark boy with a short haircut, and wearing a beanie shows up next to him, "who's that?" he points his finger at me, curiously.
matt gulps nervously, i can tell he didn't want to tell the boy that i'm just a random girl that's blackmailing him, "she's- she's a friend." he spews out. i wouldn't say we're friends, but sure whatever.
"hi! i'm everlee!" i wave at the boy, who i still don't know.
he smiles, "i'm merlyn! i'm matt's friend too!"
wow, he has friends? never seen him talk to anyone in my life, let alone have friends.
"why is everyone at the window?" another voice was heard in his room.
another boy shows up next to the both of them, this time he has blond hair and is holding a game controller in his hand, "is this, matt's, girlfriend?" he chuckles.
"dude, shut the hell up." matt glares at him.
"i'm joba! i'm their friend too!" the blond haired boy says, and i introduce myself again.
wow, two friends? what a record.
"alright, alright, can you both go over there with the rest?" matt points to the back of his room.
there's more?
merlyn and joba, wave goodbye to me and exchange glances at each other, "we better leave the lovers alone." joba smirks, as they both begin to laugh.
matt, rolls his eyes and whispers loud enough for only me to hear, "come over tomorrow."
i gulp, "what? what do you mean come over tomorrow? i don't know what you're pulling here, this is strictly-" he cuts me off.
"we're going to discuss your revenge plans, fuck you on about?" he looks at me confused.
i can feel my face turning into a bright shade of pink from embarrassment, "oh, yeah, right," i laugh nervously, "i almost forgot."
"you're a fucking idiot." he rolls his eyes, and shuts his window.
that's the only thing i'll ever agree with him on.
