it's the next day, and that means matt and i have to meet wesley today. he called while we were on our way to school just to tell us to meet him in the library first thing in the morning.
matt and i, currently stand outside of the library and quietly make our way in. we look around for him, until we finally spot him sitting alone at an empty table.
we rush over, and sit right across from him, "alright, so what the hell do you want?" matt, gets straight to the point.
wesley rolls his eyes, "i want you two to help me pass my test for calculus." he whispers over to us.
nobody moves, until matt and i look at each other which causes us to burst out laughing. wesley, gives us a look of confusion, "what's so funny?" he crosses his arms.
"are you fucking kidding me? you really want us to help you with that?" i try to keep a straight face.
he nods his head quickly and shifts himself in his seat uncomfortably. matt chuckles, "you couldn't tell us that over the phone yesterday? you're so fucking dramatic for making us meet you in the library."
wesley, ignores his comment and sighs, "look, i'm on the edge of failing calculus, so if i don't pass this final test then i'm definitely failing."
"i guess we can help you study." i shrug.
"can you two come over today and tutor me then? the test is at the end of the week, i don't have very much time." wesley asks.
i nod, "sure, we'll see you then."
he nods and gets up from his seat, "great, see you guys later." he waves then leaves the library.

it's time for lunch, so i'm heading to the cafeteria to meet up with the boys. i walk inside the cafeteria and immediately see them sitting at a table together. after i greet them, they return to their conversations and i sit in between ian and matt. i decide to skip out on the line for food since, matt, gives me some of his anyway.
"so what did the devil want?" ian asks, referring to wesley.
i shrug, "he just wants help studying for this calculus test he has coming up."
ian chuckles, "how are you two gonna help him if you both are bad at calculus too?"
i shush him, "welsey, doesn't need to know that."
all of a sudden, madison takes a seat right next to joba, making everyone at the table become silent, "so, what's up?" she smiles.
"madison, just drop it." i tell her, and she gives me a look of confusion.
"what are you talking about?" she acts innocent.
"we know that you told, wesley, everything, so can you stop being so fucking fake now?" i snap at her.
she looks over at, joba, and then starts to laugh, "joba, don't tell me that you believe her." he ignores her and continues to eat his lunch. her laugh begins to fade, "wait, do you?"
joba, slowly nods his head but still doesn't make any eye contact with her, "i do."
"why would i do something like that? you know that i'd never do that." madison says with a hint of nervousness in her voice.
"are you sure about that?" he doesn't show any emotion, no sympathy, no anger, nothing.
"how could you believe her over me?" madison asks him.
"can you just leave?" joba finally looks at her in the eye, "i trusted and defended you when no one else did, but you decided to fuck over some of my closest friends. i'm sorry, but i can't defend you this time," he pauses, "so please, do all of us a favor and leave."
madison's cheeks turn red, "fine, if that's what you really want." she angrily picks up her belongings and stomps out of the cafeteria.
