Right in front of me (max and harvey)

Chapter 8

Harvey's POV
"What?" Bex says leaning forward with an angry look on her face. I really wanted to say something but instead, I panic, stand up and go to the hallway. I bang my head against the lockers twice and then sit on the floor. Why am I such a coward?

Bexley's POV
Right after I said "what" I see the poor kid stand up and leave. That's when I noticed I had let anger take over me, so I get out of the library and look for him. I didn't have to go far, though. He was right outside the library, sitting on the floor and with his head in his hands. I sit next to him.

"Harvey, I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I am never like this, I really don't know what happened"

Harvey's POV
"It's okay, it's not your fault. You only said 'what'" I say looking at the floor
It looks like she wants to tell me something else
"Oh, here you are! We need the research. Like right now" Zach says appearing out of nowhere
"Are you serious? It hasn't even been an hour and you want it right now?" Bex says
"Do you want the A or not?" he says crossing his arms
"Ugh. Fine" she says rolling her eyes "come on, Harvey"

I love it how she's not afraid to speak her mind. But it looks like she really doesn't like Zach. I wonder what happened between them.

"So" she says with a smile on her face
"Are we not gonna do the research?" I ask
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean we can't talk, right?"
"Right." I say closing my book "you don't like Zach, do you?"
"No! I actually hate him" she says
"Why?"
"Because he's bossy. Extremely bossy. He thinks he's perfect and most of the time tries to make people feel like they're less"
"Oh"
"Yeah. Anyway, I really don't wanna be near him, so let's get this over with" she says

We work, talk and laugh. She's really sweet and confident, and I think we're getting on pretty well. I actually like her even more now. I'm happy I did what Max told me.

Bexley's POV
When I get home, I receive a text from Hana

Hana
Meet me in 5 outside your house

Bexxx
Ok but why?

Hana
I just wanna talk

She obviously knows about me liking Max. She knows! SHE. KNOWS. I go outside and wait for her to come out of her house

"Hi" she says in a mysterious way
"Uh hey? What is it that you wanted to talk about?" I ask raising one eyebrow
"Uh... nothing. Just..." she says crossing her arms. This is bad. She definitely knows. Oh no "Liv told me everything! You and Harvey spent some time together, just the two of you!" She says screaming and jumping of joy.

Phew. That was close.

"How did it go? Did you two kiss?" She says still screaming
"No, no-uh we, we were working on our science project" I state a bit nervous
"So you two did kiss!"
"No, there was no kissing or... anything" I say shrugging
"Why?" She asks kind of upset
"I don't know. It simply... didn't happen" I chuckle and shrug

I actually don't know if I'd want Harvey to kiss me. He's nice and all but I don't think I'll ever want him to be more than my friend. I want Max. Only Max.

"Max and I kissed today!" she says with a huge smile
"You guys what?" I say screaming and with a frown on my face "I mean, you guys what?" I say lowering my voice, still unable to believe what she just said
"Yeah, it was during lunch, when Harvey and you were at the library... working" she says smirking. I roll my eyes "and Ava, Ethan, Max and I were sitting together and we were playing truth or dare. I chose dare and Ava dared me to kiss Max" she says

Of course she did. Ava has hated me ever since I liked Zach, and that's because she liked him too. That's over now, however she still hates me, and it's like she's stalked me or something since she knows everything about me, and I'm pretty sure she even knows that I like Max and that's the reason why she dared Hana to kiss him.

Yes, it does hurt to hear that Hana and Max kissed, but it was only because of a dare. It wasn't real. Nothing to worry about.
