I go to the park kinda angry, kinda upset, kinda curious as to what Harvey has to say. I'm still mad at him for having said what he said before, even if he apologized. And he hasn't really explained everything to me, so it better be good and lead to a point where we can actually be at peace instead of starting another fight.

I see Harvey and the look on my face changes from serious to angry, but inside me, it's really hurting me to act like this when I wish we could be happy, together.

The look on his face doesn't show happiness either, but I bet it's because of a completely different reason than mine.

"Okay. Um... I don't really want to intervene, so I'll just be standing over there in case you need anything" Max says awkwardly and leaves Harvey and me alone

"So..." Harvey says

"You know, I find it funny how you said you liked me and then you're kissing Ava" I say with a fake smile on my face

"We're gonna go through that again? Really?" he says face palming himself

"Well yeah" I insist

"I already told you, you rejected me! How many times will I have to say that?" he exclaims

"Show me"

"What?" he asks

"The text. Show me the text in which I supposedly rejected you" I demand

"Here" he shows me the conversation. With his text saying "I like you. You're smart, beautiful, kind. Okay, basically everything I could ever ask for" which I actually remember and which makes me kinda sad to read since I know he doesn't feel that anymore.

And then, the text I had supposedly sent, that said "I like Zach, I thought we had already gone through this. I like you. But as a friend only"

"I never sent that text. This is the one I sent you" I say unlocking my phone and showing him the text that said "Awww. I think I like you too"

"So you like me..." he says touching his chin. He pauses and says "I don't buy it"

"What? Why don't you believe me but you believe Ava? Oh yeah, that reminds me. Why her?" I say raising my voice in desperation

"Why not her?" He answers

"Ava is a..." I pause because I'm so mad I don't want to say something I'll later regret. "bad person" I finish saying

"Wait. You don't like her?" he asks confused

"No. You thought I did? Wait, so what is it that you were thinking? 'Oh right, this is Bex's friend, let's kiss her so that she gets jealous', well, great idea" I respond

"That explains everything" he exclaims "you were acting all weird and stuff because you hate her and you don't want her to be near your friends"

"Look, first of all, shut up and let me finish what I was going to say, okay? Now, let me tell you what happened according to me. So, you liked me and I liked Max but then I realized I actually didn't like him and that I liked you. Then you texted me saying those very nice things and I said I liked you too and then you asked me to meet outside of the diner that one day after school. When I got there, I see you kissing Ava, so I decided to run away and then I came back because I saw your texts and Max and Hana told me you had missed me and that you didn't mean to kiss Ava. And then, I see you kissing Ava again. Like why did I even come back?" I say really fast and with a knot in my throat

"The text I showed you is the text I got, so I thought I had to move on and I didn't know you would be outside the diner that one day because I never asked you to meet me there. Ava asked me to be there. And then she kissed me and then I saw you and went after you. After I saw you had left your house, I spent the rest of the day looking for you. I was seriously so worried. And then I texted you and you left me on read and Ava told me that you didn't want me and that I should be with someone who really wanted me, someone like her" he says
