Alison opened her eyes to find all of her cats and her dogs, staring holes into her. Her smallest cat was actually sitting on her chest, but still hadn't managed to wake her. She looked down and saw a few little scratches on her chest and she felt stinging on her cheeks.
"Have you been asleep all day?"
"No! Well, I don't know, actually. What time is it?"
"Four o'clock."
"IN THE AFTERNOON? OH JEEEZE!" She looked to her animals. "Oh guys, I'm so sorry!" She looked to the phone and held it up to her ear. "I'm sorry Marge. Did you need something?"
"No, I was just checking in on you. I've been calling all day. I was going to try this one last time and then I was going to come out."
Alison sighed and shook her head. "I'm up. Damn it." She sighed again.
"Why don't you see if you can get your sister to stay with you? I'm really concerned for you, being in that big house all by yourself."
"I might do that actually. Thanks for calling."
"You're welcome. Go feed your critters!"
"Yes, ma'am."
She hung up the telephone and removed the small cat from her chest and gently set it on the bed.
She thought about her dream. About Sebastian and how he looked so much like David. She thought that she had put David to star in her magical dream...another kind of attempt to keep him alive...but it really was Sebastian Matus.
Why the hell was she thinking about him?

The next afternoon, Beth stopped by with lunch and they ate at her little table outside surrounded by her barn cats, all begging for something to fall to the ground.
"So why don't you take a trip? I can stay here and take care of the animals for you while you're gone," Beth asked.
Alison shook her head. "Oh, I dunno Sis. It's just..."
Beth nodded. "I know. It's just...You should go."
"Where?"
"Anywhere! Oooo! I know! Take a trip to England!"
"Right."
"No, I mean it! You should go."
"My passport is out of date."
"So get a new one..."
Alison sighed. "I dunno? Maybe Colorado. I really loved living there."
"Boooooring...Besides, you're not going to find him there."
"Find who where?"
"That Cat-guy. What was his name..."
"Like you could forget him," Alison teased, "you had such the biggest crush on him..."
"Yeah! Him!" Beth nodded and wiggled her eyebrows. "The pretty one..."
Alison closed her eyes and sighed.
"Anyway, it was you that he was into as I recall?"
Alison's eyes seared toward her sister's.
"What was he, Samoan?"
Alison shook her head. "No. Half Native American."
Beth grimaced. "Oh. All these years I've been thinking that he was a Samoan because he was so tall and all muscles!"
