As he lay beside her, Sebastian mentally went over the events of the past few days. He wondered what, if anything, drew her to return to Manitou Springs...she could have traveled anywhere. He thought about his questioning her motives when she knew where exactly James' location had been in the abandoned warehouse in the outskirts of the city. He thought of how she somehow managed to heal herself...and then heal James...how did she do it?  He couldn't remember seeing her do anything special to heal their son. And then to top it off, she healed him...very much like she did before.

Alison was deep in a trance-sleep-state and he realized how vulnerable she was. He thought that his father would have been in a similar situation...completely oblivious to the outside world and opened the top drawer of the nightstand to withdraw his phone and texted his mother, briefly explaining that he'd feel better if they were not alone, especially when his father was trancing. His mother returned the text telling him that she was confident they'd be alright. He shook his head and tossed his phone unceremoniously back into the drawer as he huffed.

Finally, she opened her eyes and smiled at him. "Hello gorgeous..."

He craned his neck to look behind him and looked back toward her. "Moi?"

She rolled over onto her back and yawned. "Oh please..."

He chuckled then nuzzled her neck. "I've been thinking..."

"Oh dear," she groaned.

He scowled. "Hey!" She giggled at him and pulled him tighter to her. "Seriously..."

She nodded. "Okay?"

"How did you heal James with only your touch?" He felt her shrug her slender shoulders.

"Maybe it's a Momma-thing?"

He smiled warmly and snuggled closer. "Wouldn't that be lovely," he said nodding his head and yawning.

She too smiled and nodded. "Mmhmm." She kissed the top of his head. "Never in my wildest dreams did I remember having him and let me tell you, I looked everywhere in that silly dream-house for him. Not once did I hear him, nor did I get any kind of indication that he was there or here even. Then when Indian Dude told me he was okay...I didn't know what to think. You know?"

She was met with only the sound of his breathing.

"Sebastian? Bast...?"

He growled his sleepy reply and she giggled.

She woke feeling a slight cool breeze from the opened balcony door. She heard the commode flush and then the water running. A moment later, he was standing in the doorway smiling at her.

"Come on, get dressed...I want to take you somewhere..."

She leaned up on her elbows and he thought she looked absolutely adorable with her completely disheveled hair and sleepy eyes. "Coffee first," she begged.

He smiled and nodded. "We can get it to go..."

She whined her lament as he left her alone to get dressed and when she didn't present herself down stairs, he climbed the stairs stealthily and slowly turned the door knob of her door. He slowly opened it, wondering how far she managed to get dressed before having curled up to fall back asleep. Peeking inside, he saw that she'd at least managed to get her bra and panties on, causing him to chuckle, remembering how many times he'd exit from the shower to find her on top of the covers in only her socks, sleeping hard. He knelt down and stared at her.

Alison's eyes fluttered and she groaned. "I'm getting there..."

He laughed and nodded. "Yes, I can see that!"
