The following morning, Alison was fretting when Elf still could not be found anywhere, frantically calling out for him at the top of her lungs to no avail. She even walked next door and took a look inside their barn, garnering her dirty looks from the barn cats that lived there. She returned to the house more desperate than she started out being.

James stood at the stove, working his culinary magic, promising to help look for him after breakfast. Diane sipped on her coffee quietly, as did George, watching his sweet Beverly as she searched the refrigerator for the ingredients that James needed for his omelettes.

The sun was high in the sky when Alison securely placed the trailering boots on Rajah as James placed the last of the crated barn cats in her SUV. He secured the bike trailer to the hitch, then pushed his father's bike as well as David's cruiser and crotch rocket up. He agreed to escort the cats while his parents would pull the horse trailer and bring the dogs. One of Sebastian's men agreed to drive the moving truck for some extra cash and he magically secured the doors of the trailer, knowing that his boss's fiance's entire life was packed inside. Beth promised to fly out to Denver later in the month when her three weeks notice had ended. Alison wasn't happy with her decision; Sebastian managed to talk her out of pressing the issue with her sister and Beth promised him a life-debt in return, causing him to laugh boisterously.

"I'm going to hold you to that, Missy," he said as he embraced her. He turned toward Alison as she easily led Rajah into the trailer without the lead rope. The trust that the animal had in her was amazing to him...He breathed in heavily, keenly aware that he still harbored trust issues. George walked up to him, punching his shoulder playfully.

Sebastian knew the feel of his father's playful roughness and he turned his head and smiled. "Hey Dad..."

George looked around the property, to the many trees, bushes, flowers and even the few weeds that were nestled in the lawn that he had noticed, all being medicinal in nature. "This place has good energy. Shame she has to leave it."

"She's not safe here. You know that as well as I do."

"She's not safe in Manitou either."

"I can better protect her in a place where I know the lay of the land. I don't know where anything is here. Do YOU?"

George shook his head and he breathed in deeply, then huffed.

Beth stood before her sister, her eyes filling quickly. "I know how much you hate good byes," she said.

Alison nodded. "So, we'll just say, so long for now, how's that?"

Beth's face crumbled. Then Alison's did too...the phrase was something that David used to say.

"Take care of you," Alison said.

Beth nodded. "And take care of you," she hiccuped. She looked toward the two wizards standing outside the two vehicles. "And take care of them. And you'd better let them take care of you too...You need them as much as they need you, you know?"

Alison's head slowly turned toward Sebastian and James, both looking quite hopeful and eager to get on the road.

"Call me if you need anything," Alison said. "I'll have Bastian get someone out to you, okay?"

Beth nodded. "I have our mothers with us. But you can call me when you stop for the night."

Alison nodded. "I will," she promised. Beth watched them get into their vehicles, the dogs hopping up into the Jeep with Alison. "KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR ELF PLEASE!"

"I WILL!"

Diane protectively circled her arm around Beth's shoulders and Alison watched her sister shy away from their mother, and move closer toward Lynn instead. Sebastian saw it too as he lifted his hand to wave goodbye at them.
