Olivia:
I left the delivery man a tip after paying and shut the door with the food in my hand.
"Mm that smells good" Shayne says
"Yeah I hope so!" I say
"What did you get?" He asks
"I got some pork belly for me and some sweet and sour chicken for you" I say.
"Thanks Olivia, I'll pay you back next time I see you" He says
I walk to my room then out to the living room again.
"You got my money now Shayne?" I jokingly ask
"Haha fine here you go Olivia" He says starting to pull out his wallet.
"Shayne I was joking!" I say laughing
"Oh" he says confused.
"You're my best friend, you don't need to pay me back Shayne" I say.
"I thought Courtney was your best friend?" He asks confused again.
".. uh yeah... I meant your my second best friend!" I say.
"You can have more than one best friend?" He asks confused again.
"... Shayne" I say annoyed.
"Haha ok I'll drop it" He says
I walk over towards the kitchen and dish out the food onto plates. Then I bring our food over to the couch and put it on the coffee table in front of us.
"Do you have any silverware?" Shayne asks
"All they gave us is chopsticks" he says.
"You don't know how to use chopsticks Shayne?" I reply
"Yeah I guess I just never learned" he says.
"I can teach you if you want" I offer to him.
"You sure? I mean it's fine you don't have to" he says unsure.
"Of course I'll teach you Shayne" I say.
"Ok so you want to hold them like this" I show him by holding mine.
"Like this?" He says holding them wrong.
"No try again, like this" I show him again.
"Like this?" He says wrong again
"No like this" I say showing him again.
"An I doing it right this time?" He says wrong again.
"Haha this is going to be more difficult than I thought" I say
"Sorry I guess I'm just not used to using chopsticks" he says dejected.
"Here let me guide your hands" I say
I grab his hands and hold them and I instantly feel my heart twang. His hands were so rugged and big yet at the same time they were so soft and firm. I sat there just holding his hands for a couple of seconds.
"Olivia?" He says snapping me back to reality.
"Oh.. sorry I guess I zoned out" I say
"Here position your hand like this" I say while positioning his on the chopsticks correctly.
"Now try to pinch and pick some food up with that" I say.
He uses his chopsticks correctly for the first time and manages to grab a piece of chicken.
"Yay!" We both exclaim laughing
Shayne turns to me and hugs me.
"Thanks Ms. Olivia, I'll leave a good review for your school online" he says jokingly
"Thank you Mr. Topp" I say with a chuckle.
We start to eat our food after settling down. While we eat we continue to watch Chopped on the T.V. and talk about the food the contestants prepared. After we were done eating I washed the dishes and sat back down to watch T.V. again with him. Not soon after I began to doze off. I start to dream happily of the times Shayne has been there for me. Like when he helped me with Sam, when he taught me how to swim, helped me change my tires and many other times. After a while I wake up and I see him in front of me just staring.
"Shayne?" I ask.
"Olivia it's always been you" he says.
"What? What do you mean?" I ask suprised.
"I realized that it's you that I've been waiting for" he says
"Shayne i-" I start to say but he cuts me off by kissing me.
His lips brushed against mine and he deepened the kiss. I felt all sorts of good energy while kissing Shayne. It was like we were meant to be together but suddenly he broke away.
"Olivia?" He says
"Yes?" I say
"Olivia?" He says again
"Yeah?" I say again
"Olivia" he says for the third time.
Suddenly I'm awaken for real this time by a gentle nudge and my name being called from Shayne again. Wait what? It was all a dream? After realizing that it was just a dream, I looked over and saw that I had fallen asleep on Shayne.
"Oh my gosh I'm sorry" I manage to say to Shayne
"Haha it's fine" He says as he chuckles
"I just wanted to wake you before you feel completely asleep so you could go to your bed so you'd be more comfortable than just laying on me" he says
"Haha thanks Shayne you're right, your muscles are really bouncy and that's no way to get a good night's sleep" I joke
"That's my shoulder" he says looking at me.
We both stare at each other for a second and then start to laugh.
"Do you need any more pillows or another blanket before I go?" I ask him
"Thanks for offering but I should be fine, I'll see you in the morning" He says.
"Goodnight Shayne" I say as I get up.
"Goodnight Olivia" he says while laying down on the couch.
I start to walk to my room alone. I lay down in my bed and pull the covers over me. It seems like everyday I'm falling more and more for this man. I start to doze off again while feeling good about my day and my night with Shayne.
