Courtney:

I was writing on my laptop when I saw Shayne walk in the office. Yesterday I dropped the hint that somebody here liked him. Last night I decided to tell him today that the person was me. I just needed to get him alone for a couple minutes. The day went on and soon the whole squad was in the office chatting and having fun. I saw Shayne leave to go get some food from the kitchen and decided to follow him.

"Hey Shayne" I said as I walked up to him.

"... Hey" he said while taking his ramen out of the microwave.

"So I have to tell you something" I said.

"Alright" he replied.

"You know how I said that somebody at the office liked you?" I said.

"Yeah, sure" he said.

"Well.... That person is me..." I said trying to gauge his reaction.

"That's cool" he said looking for a fork.

"Wait what?" I said

"I said that's cool" he says and walks away.

I stand there for a second completely confused. I decide to go after him and confront him. I catch up with him before we get to the office.

"I tell you that I have feelings for you and you just walk off?" I say bewildered.

"My noodles were getting cold" he says shrugging.

He walks into the office and sits next to Olivia and begins to eat.

"Shayne! I catch believe you!" I yell and storm outside.

Olivia:

"What was that about?" I ask Shayne

"She said she liked me, so I said cool" he said continuing to eat.

"Shayne" I say.

"What?" He says and stops eating.

"As much of a bitch that she was to me, that doesn't mean you should ignore her, she is still your friend." I tell him.

Shayne sighs.

"I guess you're right" he says and gets up to go talk to her.

"Thanks for the ramen!" I say as he walks away before looking back at me faking that he's upset that I took his food.

Shayne:

I walk outside to see an upset Courtney sitting on a bench outside. I walk up and sit next to her.

"Hey" I say.

"Shayne?" She says.

"I thought you blew me off" she says dejected.

"I did initially but that wasn't right of me to do" I say.

"Thanks... So why did you react like that when I said I liked you?" She asks.

"Well because I heard about what you have been saying about Olivia" I tell her.

"Oh.. " she says.

"I just.. I felt like she was taking my chance away to be with someone and I got so jealous" she finishes.

"It still wasn't right for you to do that to your best friend" I say.

"You're right, I'm sorry" she says.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to" I tell her.

"You're right again" she says and chuckles.

"So do you think you have feelings for me to?" She asks hopeful.

"Courtney I like you I really do but only as a friend. You're like a sister to me" I say.

"Oh.." she says disappointed.

"Are we at least still friends?" She asks.

"Of course, after you apologize to Olivia" I say to her.

"Of course" she says.

We hug each other and then pull away.

"Oh, I guess it's okay to tell you this now" she says.

"Olivia likes you as well" she says.

"I know" I reply.

"You do?" She says suprised.

"Yes, she told me last night" I say.

"Do you have feelings for her too?" She asks.

"I feel that my heart belongs to her" I tell her.

"Aww that's sweet" she says.

"I guess I should go talk to Olivia now huh?" She says.

"Probably" I say .

"Thanks for talking to me Shayne" she says and walks back inside.

I sit on the bench for a while longer just enjoying the breeze.
