Pajamas

Shayne:

"I still can't get over how nice it looks on your finger" I said.

"I know, I never want to take it off" Olivia said playing with it.

"As soon as I saw it, I knew it was perfect" I said.

"It's amazing" She said twisting her ring.

"Where to now?" I asked.

We we're sitting outside the drive-in chapel. We had just gotten married an hour ago in Vegas. We didn't tell anybody we were going and we didn't have to be back at work until tommorow.

"Well, we have the whole day to ourselves" Olivia said casting circles into my chest with her finger.

"What did you have in mind?" I asked.

"What if we just went home and put on pajamas and had a movie marathon" She suggested.

"That sounds delightful" I said smiling.

Olivia smiled back as we walked to the car. We got in and I began to drive back to our place in LA. I rolled down the windows and turned up the music on the radio. Olivia stuck her feet out the window and relaxed as we drove home. I could feel the wind go through my hair and the music enter my ears as we continued our journey. After a while we finally pulled up in front of our apartment. I rollled the windows up and got out to let Olivia out.

"Madam" I said as I tipped my imaginary hat and opened her door.

"Thank you" She said fake curtseying.

We linked hands and walked inside. I turned on the TV while Olivia went into the bedroom to change. She came into the living room wearing new pajamas I hadn't seen before. They were red silk pajamas with white cuffs.

"Wow" I said.

"You like?" She asked.

"I love" I said.

Olivia giggled and grabbed the remote. She beckoned me to go get changed. I went into the bedroom and changed into my pajamas. It was just a grey t shirt and some black pajama pants. I went back into the living room to find Olivia already snuggled up in a blanket on the couch.

"What? I'm cold" She said.

"I can fix that" I said grinning.

I move the blanket aside and sat down next to her. I enveloped my arms around her from behind her and linked them around her waist. She was basically lying on top of me facing the TV.  I pulled the blanket back over us. She snuggled her body into mine.

"What are we watching?" I asked.

"I just picked a random one" She said.

"Ok" I replied.

We layed there for hours watching movies as a newly married couple. Not out dancing or celebrating with friends but snoring on the couch and watching movie reruns. Olivia and I were content with just each other's company.
