I asked my parents about cancer,
and they told me all sorts of nasty stuff about it.
Like it didn’t have a cure,
and that no one knows where it came from.
I felt really bad for Fuuka-chan when she started to cry,
so I wanted to stay with her a bit longer.
But she told me she was okay,
and that she’d manage somehow.
I hugged her again before saying goodbye.
At that time, I started to wonder.
Wasn’t she with Hatori-kun already?
I thought that she would tell him about things like this.
But for such a long time we never talked,
and then she just opened up to me.
They weren’t together that day.
