“Say Hatori,” Akimoto said.
Hatori looked, his expression was half-curious.
Out of the blue, Akimoto asked,
“I’ve been wondering, do you like anyone?”
“What’s this all of a sudden?” Hatori-kun replied.
“I’m just a little curious, since you’re a bit popular with the girls and all,”
“Ah, I’m curious too!” I added, teasing him.
“What? Why?!” Hatori seemed embarrassed.
“So who is it? Is she in our class?” Akimoto kept pushing.
Hatori looked at us as if we were a bunch of weirdoes.
I think he felt pressured,
probably because we were looking intently at him, wearing big wide grins.
“Well --- I’ll tell if you guys tell me yours,” Hatori bargained.
“But everyone already knows who I like!” said Akimoto.
He must mean Koharu-chan.
That rumor’s been around for quite a while.
“And I already know who Aiko-chan likes~” Akimoto teased, grinning at me.
“Hmmm, really?” Hatori looked at me, “Who does she like?”
