I’ve never seen him complain so much,
it was kind of cute actually,
him getting all frustrated like that.
But this meant that he didn’t actually say no.
I was a bit relieved but I was still confused.
My feelings for him as of now was transitioning from lingering,
to letting go --- it’s that awkward stage.
“Why are you so angry? You sound like you missed me a lot,”
I decided to seize this opportunity to sneak a tease for him,
he’s done that a couple of times to me already.
“I did miss you, so stop running away from me.”
… My eyes widened and I blushed again, this time even more so.
His eyes were set on me, and I could only stare back in shock.
I didn’t know he was so direct,
my chest tightened, but it was a good feeling.
At the back of my head were the words that made me happiest.
He likes me too --- he never said it of course.
But it’s funny how although he was so direct right now,
he was also, in a way, indirect about his feelings.
