Michiyo didn’t like to hear Ayumu’s scolding.
She doesn’t exactly like stress.
So Michiyo ran away from Ayumu,
who surprisingly ran after her.
Right now, it looked like they were playing tag.
But Ayumu’s face was really scary though.
“I noticed since last year that you always looked at him,” Akimoto-kun continued.
“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean I like him,” I didn’t want to tell anyone yet.
That trauma last time about having my secrets spilled like that,
it wasn’t easy to trust anyone yet,
not even a childhood friend like Akimoto-kun.
“Are you sure? It’s kind of obvious even if you hide it!” he teased.
“That’s weird… because I like someone else!” I said cheerfully, as if I really did like someone else.
“Wait, really? Who?” he was unexpectedly curious.
“Not telling!” I teased.
“Aww come on. Is it someone we know?”
“Maybe~”
“Is it someone from the group?”
“Maybe~” at this point, I was really just playing with him.
“Me, maybe?” Akimoto-kun said, his eyes meeting mine.
