A world full of demons is like a zoo consisting of loose animals; if you couldn't tame the animals, you couldn't live a very safe life.
That is why humans lived in fear of demons. Their fear caused many to slay demons. They cut them down with weapons, or even tied them to wooden poles and burned them alive.
That was the fate of most demons.
But the world wasn't just filled with demons. It also had half-breeds, magicians, priests and other mysterious beings.
Some humans decided to hide in huts in the middle of nowhere, while others trained to slay demons for a living.
The number of demons appearing here in feudal Japan had increased worryingly and I was starting to doubt humanity.
Humans were weak and fickle creatures that were foolish to the world of magic. Their greed caused misfortune in their lives, and often made them lose their minds.
I don't despise the humans. Despise is a strong word. More like dislike them.
Some humans were truly vicious beings that reigned over everything. They think that they were the best and that they were very clever. But they were wrong. Very wrong.
