Brandon is going back on tour tomorrow, and I didn't know if I was going to go with him or not.

"What are you doing back here, Eliana?" Sharon greeted me as I walked into her diner. Her tone sounded hard, but I knew she was happy to see me. Sharon just didn't show her happiness a lot.

"My mom's wedding," I said like it was obvious because it was obvious. She was even at my mom's wedding, and we even saw each other there.

"Well, I know that," she stated like it was obvious, but nothing was obvious now. I was very much confused. "I mean, what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to help out," I said, shrugging, putting on the 'uniform.'

"I thought you were too good for me now," she said, smirking. With that, she went back into her kitchen.

It was always so easy to be here because Sharon always acted like everything was normal. Well, to her, it was. She never pried for information and she always minded her own business. That's why I loved her and loved it here.

I was stressed, so this place was the perfect place to be.

"Why-" Brandon walked into the diner, and it wasn't like some big, dramatic thing where he slammed the door and made a huge scene with his yelling. However, his entrance was big and dramatic enough for me that I dropped my notepad. "Why did your Eli just tell me that you were leaving?" He asked, and it was as if he was forcing himself to make eye contact with me, like the thought of even looking at me hurt him at this moment. "Why did he say it like you weren't leaving with me?"

Oh, gosh. I knew that I had to tell him, that he deserved that much, but this was all happening too fast. Of course, I had to have known that Hazel was going to tell Eli. Not that I blamed her. They were practically married. She couldn't just keep it from him. It's my fault really.

I should have told him before he found out. In this small town, it was only a matter of time. Oh, gosh.

"Eliana, please answer me," he said, instead of yelling. I wish he was yelling. It would make things easier. I'd rather have him shouting at me and being angry at me than whatever he is feeling towards me right now.

I crouched down to grab my notepad, and slowly stood back up. Slowly, like during that time, time itself would just speed up and this conversation would be over.

I slapped the notepad against my palm. "Because I'm not leaving with you," I answered him.

"Then where are you leaving to?"

"Away," I shrugged, in a nonchalant manner, hoping to display that it's not that big of a deal. I didn't want it to be a big deal. "For three months."
