"Jughead how can you not see her" Betty yelled as soon as they got back to their apartment
"Betty we were talking and laughing together, so what am I not allowed to have friends now" Jughead yelled back at her
"No! That's not what i'm saying! It's just that you're always with her" Betty yelled getting frustrated with him
"I am not always with her" Jughead argued
"Jughead for the past month you have blown off our dates to be with her" Betty said lowering her voice but still sounding angry.
"I haven't been blowing off our dates to be with her. I just have a lot of work to keep up with at the office" Jughead said also getting angry at how she was overreacting
"Exactly, she stays there also. I mean you give her rides home almost every night. You were flirting with her right in front of me tonight" Betty said getting tears in her eyes.
"Nothing has happened between me and Sabrina. I told you that already" Jughead raised his voice at her
"Well what am I supposed to think Jughead. I went to that dinner with you because I wanted to be with you. But the entire night you just ignored me and were only talking with her" Betty cried.
Jughead didn't say anything he just stood there looking at her angrily.
Betty waited for him to say something. She waited for him to say 'I love you', but that never happened. She hadn't heard those words in a really long time. They used to say it to each other every single day. She missed those days.
"You know what, forget it Jughead I can't deal with you right now. I'm going over to Veronica's" Betty said grabbing her bag walking out the door.
Jughead didn't go after her. He sighed and sat down on the couch with his head in his hands. Betty was crying outside the door of their apartment. She waited for thirty minutes, crying as quiet as she could, to see if Jughead would come out looking for her. He never did.
Betty walked over to Veronica's apartment which was not that far from their own.
"Betty what a surprise" Veronica said smiling.
"Hey sorry to just show up like this" Betty said with a weak smile.
"What's wrong" Veronica asked ushering her in.
"Just me and Jughead again" Betty sighed walking in "Hey can I go change and then we'll talk"
Veronica nodded and Betty walked off coming back two minutes later.
"So again with Sabrina" Veronica asked as they sat down on the couch
Betty nodded "I can't Veronica. I can't compete with her. She's way more beautiful than I am. I can see why Jughead is choosing her over me" Betty shrugged as if it didn't bother her
"Betty. Hey don't do that" Veronica said pulling Betty into a hug "He loves you. He does. And I've seen the bitch, you're way more beautiful than her"
Betty laughed a bit. "Thanks V"
"Come on. We are watching romantic movies and eating a ton of hot cheetos" Veronica said getting up and going through her pantry.
They got comfortable and started watching The Notebook. Veronica laid down on one couch and Betty in the other. Veronica's phone rang, she looked down, Jughead.
J: Is she with you
V: Yeah, cheater
J: You know I would never hurt her.
