{General POV}

Jughead Jones and Betty Foster had been friends since they were three years old. They always did everything together and they always told each other everything. Everyone that she knew were aware about her condition. Betty had epilepsy and asthma, the worst ever combination. Betty did not have many friends, which is why she and Jughead were so close. She had a huge crush on him since their first kiss when they were eight, but of course Jughead had a girlfriend, Veronica Lodge. Betty didn't like her, mostly because she was a total bitch when Jughead wasn't with her. She desperately wanted to tell Jughead, but he seemed so happy with her, so she decided to hide her feelings and let him be happy, with or without her.

Betty's condition worsened when she was nervous, sad, stressed, or any emotion that was overwhelming. Jughead would always be with her after a seizure, reading her favorite book to her while she laid in the hospital bed. Ever since they were little, they would go swimming together every weekend. When they were fifteen, they were at the lake, their parents went to get some food inside the cabin, Betty started having a seizure. Jughead carried her to his car and quickly drove her to the hospital. Betty hated being at the hospital, especially when she was alone with her parents, they would walk around eggshells the entire time, but with Jughead, he never treated her any different.

Betty was now in the summer before college, she was finally going to NYU, along with Jughead, the school of her dreams since her family had moved to New York. Every year, the school would hold a play, they strongly encouraged freshmans to take a part of it. She was the female lead role, and she was really nervous. Betty felt like she couldn't breathe, she started reaching over for her bag, but it wasn't there anymore. She looked up and saw Jughead sitting down next to her, putting her inhaler to her mouth. Betty quickly inhaled the medicine and removed the inhaler from her mouth. She instantly felt breathing become easier.

"Thanks Juggie" She smiled at him as he put the inhaler back into her bag

"Based on that, I'm guessing you're extremely nervous" Jughead asked her

"That noticeable huh" Betty giggled "I didn't expect you to come"

"Are you kidding, I wouldn't miss your first on-stage performance" Jughead said getting up, pulling Betty with him

"Where are you sitting" Betty asked him

"First row, top balcony, middle seats" Jughead answered "With Veronica"

"Oh" Betty fake smiled "I didn't know she would come"

"Jughead! Out of her now." Kevin ordered "You're lucky I even let you back here"

"Good luck Betts" Jughead gave Betty a hug "Relax. You'll be great"

Betty instantly felt comfort wash over to her.

"Jughead" Kevin shouted "Get out"

"I'll see you after the show" Jughead said walking out

Betty heard the drama instructor start talking to the audience, she was waiting behind the curtains, she opened it a little and saw the huge audience. Betty pulled back and started breathing heavily.

"Betty" Kevin placed a hand on her shoulder "Hey, calm down, you'll be great"

The curtains lifted and the play began. Kevin, who was the main male role, started saying his lines, and Betty was next. When it was time for her line, she completely froze up.

"Betty it's your turn" Kevin whispered to her, but she just stood there looking at him "Come on"

Betty opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. She said her line, but it wasn't at all in the right tone of voice. She started breathing heavily and all of a sudden she started having a seizure.
