{General POV}
"Hey Jug" Betty greeted cheerfully as Jughead walked through her bedroom door
"Hey Betts" Jughead answered giving her a weak smile.
"What's wrong" Betty asked hearing the different sound in his voice
"I finally called my mom" Jughead said with a small smile
"That's great, what did you guys talk about" Betty said sitting down looking up at him
"Everything and nothing" Jughead sighed sitting down next to her "We didn't really get into the details on why she left me, but it was great hearing her voice again"
"That's great, do you know when you can see her again" Betty asked
"Well we talked about her coming here but it was just easier for me to go there" Jughead answered
"To Toledo" Betty asked
Jughead nodded
"When" Betty asked not really wanting to know the answer. Yes she wanted Jughead to reconnect with his mother, but she didn't want to lose him.
"Tonight"
"Tonight" Betty didn't expect for it to be this soon
"Yeah, after talking with her, I didn't want to wait another day" Jughead explained
"No, of course. I understand" Betty said "Can I at least drive you to the airport"
"Actually, she was going to ask her brother is he can take me, he's right outside" Jughead told her
Betty nodded "What does this mean for us"
Jughead sighed grabbing her hands "We can talk on the phone and I'll be back"
Betty laughed a little wiping her tears "You say that right now but I've seen seen pictures of Toledo"
"Well I have a reason to come back" Jughead placed his hand on her cheek wiping the tears that were falling "You"
Betty leaned more into his hand smiling a little. Jughead wiped her recently fallen tear before pulling her into a kiss. Betty wrapped her arms around his neck as he did the same.
"Call you tomorrow" Jughead asked as they pulled away, he was trying to contain tears from falling as well.
Betty nodded "Good luck"
Jughead gave her a kiss and wiped her tear once more before standing up and heading towards the door.
"I love you" Betty said for the first time.
Jughead turned around, this time not being able to control his tears "I love you too"
Betty got up from her bed, running towards him and giving him one last kiss before he left.
Jughead smiled at her kissing her forehead before leaving, shutting the door behind her.
Betty sighed walking back to her bed and crying into her pillow
~two weeks later~
Betty opened the door and smiled "You're early"
Jughead smiled at her "You're beautiful"
He walked and set his stuff down
"I want to hear everything. I want-" Betty started
"Ok, ok I promise I'll relive the entire trip" Jughead interrupted her "But right now what I want is for you to come here"
Betty smiled wrapping her arms around him as he did the same
"Thank you" Betty sighed
"For what" Jughead asked pulling away
"For being here" Betty sighed
"What's wrong Juliet" Jughead urged her wanting her to go on
"Ask me what's right if you want a shorter answer" Betty said pulling away from his arms
Jughead raised his eyebrows
"My dad keeps calling me from his prison cell, Evelyn is still everywhere, Ethel is still trying to convince everyone to play that stupid game, there's no new leads in Archie's case, and to top it all off my mom and Polly are always pushing me to join the farm and to confess all my sins and-"
"Hey Betts, baby. Shhh. It's all going to be fine, ok" Jughead comforted her putting an arm on her shoulder calming her down
Betty sighed looking up at him giving him a weak smile. Jughead pulled her into a kiss, something that he had been waiting to do for the past two weeks.
Yep, he was definitely home.
