Jughead couldn't take it anymore. He wanted the pain to end. There was only one way to make the pain end forever.
"I'm so sorry" He whispered although no one was there
He looked down at the bottle of pills in his hands. He reached down and uncapped it. He threw all the pills in his mouth and waited a little for it to make effect. He remembered grabbing his phone and sending Betty a text. I love you. Once he put his phone down, he started to feel dizzy. He heard his phone ring. It was too late he was already out.
A few minutes later Betty walked through the trailer door.
"Juggie" She called out.
No response.
She reached the bedroom and saw Jughead laying down on he floor unconscious.
"Jughead wake up" she shook his body but he wouldn't budge. "Juggie please"
Nothing. Betty started to cry, she pulled out her phone and called 911.
911 what's your emergency.
Betty was trying to hide her cries. "Please help my boyfriend tried to commit suicide. He's not responding please hurry"
Help is on its way. Hang tight. And with that they hung up.
Jughead slowly opened his eyes just enough to see Betty.
"Juggie" she cried in relief
"I love you Betts, I always will" he whispered.
"I love you too Juggie" she sobbed "just stay awake for me ok. Help is coming"
It was no use Jughead's eyes were getting heavy and it was harder to keep them open, he started to close his eyes and his breathing did not seem normal.
"Juggie, you're ok. Just breathe. Open your eyes. Come back, you stay awake do you hear me? Don't you dare close your eyes! Please! Come on wake up!" Betty sobbed.
It seemed like forever before she heard the sirens close. They put him in the bed and took him to the hospital leaving her alone.
"Hey Betty what's wrong" FP asked as he answered the phone.
"FP, it-, it's J-, Jug" she stuttered
"Betty what about Jughead is he ok" he asked concerned.
"He's in the hospital he tried to kill himself" she said before breaking down into tears.
"Betty stay there I'm going to the trailer to get you then we're going to the hospital. Just hang tight" he hung up.
Betty called Archie next telling him for him and Veronica to meet her at the Riverdale General. He agreed noticing the sadness in her voice, he didn't ask any questions. FP arrived, she rushed into the truck as the quickly drove to the hospital. Once they got there FP asked the nurse if they could see him yet, she said no. With disappointment sat in the waiting room until Archie and Veronica came through the door. Veronica quickly noticed Betty crying, she hurried over and gave her a hug.
"B, what happened, where's Jughead" she asked comforting her as Archie sat beside them.
Betty sobbed more at the sound of his name. "J-Jughead h-he t-tried to k-kill h-himself"
Archie and Veronica both gasped. Veronica wrapped her arms more tightly around Betty.
"It'll be ok Betty, Jughead's tough, he'll be ok" she said trying to convince everyone by saying that.
