Betty: 30 years old

Jughead: 31 years old

Juliet: 10 years old

{General POV}

Betty and Jughead married when they were nineteen, and had Juliet when they were 20. Everything was fine until a year ago, when they started fighting all the time, even in front of Juliet. Which was why Juliet started growing away from Jughead and closer to Betty, which hurt Betty. Jughead started going on business trips more frequently and spending late nights at his office. Their house was now just like a pit stop instead of a home.

"Hello Jughead" Kate smiled walking towards him

"Hey Kate" Jughead smiled brightly to her "I didn't know you were here today"

"I wasn't supposed to, but they needed me to cover a shift since Anderson is on paternity leave" Kate explained. Jughead nodded and went back to typing on his computer. "Are you coming back to Chicago next week?" Jughead looked up and nodded, "Would you like to have dinner" Kate asked, slightly biting her lip

Jughead smiled at her, "Sure"

"Mom, can Maddie sleep over tonight" Juliet pleaded walking into Betty and Jughead's bedroom.

"I'll ask her mom" Betty answered sitting down for a moment on her bed

"We asked already, she said yes" Juliet said walking towards her

"Ok, I'll pick you guys up from practice then" Betty said standing back up, "Let's go, otherwise you'll be late"

Betty drove Juliet over to the community center for her volleyball practice and dropped her off. She, then returned home to cook dinner. After cooking, she went to pick Juliet and Maddie up from volleyball practice. They got home around the same time as Jughead, when Juliet saw Jughead, she ran towards him, since she hadn't seen him in over a week. Jughead gave her a quick hug, before Betty instructed for Maddie and Juliet to change before dinner.

"I got a notification that you took out five thousand dollars out of our account, I hope it wasn't to help your friend again" Jughead said as soon as Juliet was upstairs.

"Jughead, she needs my help, and she promised to pay us back. It's just until her husband can find a job" Betty explained

"No, Betty! You always do this, how many times do I have to tell you, ask me first" Jughead yelled at her

"Gosh what is wrong with you Jughead" Betty yelled back "It's like you're not even you anymore"

"What are you talking about" Jughead scoffed

"I feel like I don't know who you are anymore. You're barley even here for me and Juliet  anymore" Betty started to tear up "Juggie, I will fight for us, but you have to trust me"

Jughead didn't say anything, Betty sighed, she heard Maddie and Juliet coming back downstairs "Can we not talk about this right now"

Jughead scoffed "You guys eat, I won't be staying for dinner" he picked up his things and left.

"Where is daddy going" Juliet asked walking into the dining room

Betty turned around, not wanting Juliet to see the tears that had escaped her eyes "He has some extra work to catch up on"

"Again" Juliet pouted "But he promised he would help me study for my math test"

"He can help you this weekend, hurry up lets eat and then we can watch a movie" Betty faked smiled.

{One week later}

Hey Betty, it's Toni. Cheryl and I are having dinner in Chicago and saw Jughead with another women, someone you know?

Betty placed her phone down and started to cry. How could he do this to her? After 14 years was he finally tired of her? Juliet was having a sleepover with Maddie, so Betty was free to cry as loud as she wanted to.

~~~
"So Kate, what are you going to order" Jughead asked reading the menu
"I'm getting the steak" Kate said running her hand against Jughead's
Jughead chuckled a little and held her hand. After they ate dinner, Kate and Jughead continued talking for another hour.
"You know what I would love right now" Kate reached over and held Jughead's hand again
"What" Jughead smiled at her
"A glass of my favorite champagne" Kate smiled
"Well what is it called, we'll order it" Jughead was about to call the waiter over, but Kate stopped him.
"They don't have it here, it's at my apartment"
Jughead looked past Kate and saw that Toni and Cheryl were eating just a few tables down. "Kate, I actually have to go, I just remembered that I have my flight in two hours, I better go. I'm sorry" Jughead got up and left Kate sitting there confused.
A few hours later Jughead was walking into his home, rushing to his and Betty's room. He opened the door, but Betty wasn't there, he figured she was in the bathroom since the light was on. Her phone vibrated, he saw she had a message from Toni. He panicked, maybe Toni had told her about Kate.
T: Hey Betty, it's Toni. Cheryl and I are having dinner in Chicago and saw Jughead with another women, someone you know?
B: I'm sure it's just a client
T: You sure? She's getting really touchy
B: Don't worry, I'm sure.
Jughead put the phone down at the sound of the bathroom door opening.
"I thought you won't supposed to get back until Saturday" Betty said standing in front of him crossing her arms
"I finished early" Jughead said
"You mean your date finished early" Betty asked
Jughead sighed, "Betts, I'm sorry"
"No I get it, after 14 years, you're ready to move on" Betty shrugged like it didn't bother her
"No" Jughead said without hesitation "I love you. Please, I promise she doesn't mean anything"
"Did you sleep with her" Betty asked
"No, I would never do that to you" Jughead answered instantly
"Jughead, I meant what I told you.  I will fight for us, but you have to trust me" Betty said wiping her tears
"I'm telling you the truth. Please give me another chance" Jughead begged caressing her face
"It's the only one your getting" Betty mumbled
Jughead smiled pulling her in for a kiss. "Thank you"
