"Do it tonight Betty, break up with Jughead. I'm running out of patience" The black hood said over the phone before hanging up
"Are you going to do it" Archie asked
Betty wiped her tears that had escaped her eyes and nodded "I have to"
"No you don't, you can tell Jughead the truth" Archie suggested "look if it was me, I would tell Veronica, I'd have to"
Betty nodded, "I'll tell him tonight"
It was seven at night, Betty awaited for Jughead's arrival to tell him about the phone calls with the black hood. Her phone dinged indication she had gotten a message. She opened it, it was a message from the black hood along with an attachment. Betty opened the message and zoomed in at the police's jacket, it read Toledo police.
"Hey" Jughead said from behind her
Betty turned around to face him, and soon as she did, she noticed the uneasiness on his face"Hey, is everything ok"
"My mom called, she was in an accident" Jughead sighed
"Is she okay" Betty asked
"Yeah, she's fine," Jughead paused a little "She said it was really weird, it was like someone was trying to run her off the road"
Betty froze, remembering the message the black hood sent her, along with the picture: I'm everywhere
"So anyway, you said you wanted to tell me something" Jughead said crossing his arms
Betty couldn't tell him now, he would blame her "Um yeah, I thought that I would be able to talk about it but I just can't"
"I don't understand. First, you tell me you were hiding something from me, and now your telling me you can't tell me what that is" Jughead said
"Jug, it's nothing really" Betty shook her head, trying to move on from the situation
Jughead walked over to her. Betty looked up at him, biting her lip. "Can we just drop it"
He started walking away from her
"Where are you going" Betty asked
"I can't do this anymore" Jughead said turning to face her "I feel like you have been pushing me away for weeks. And I just keep hoping that things will go back to the way that they were, but clearly that's not going to happen."
"You just have to be patient with me right now" Betty said walking to him, trying to hold his hand.
"No" Jughead said pulling away from her "I've been nothing but patient with you. I feel like I only exist in half of you're life. That's not good enough for me. You have to give me something. Look I understand that last time you lied to me was to protect me, but the Black hood is dead. So why are you lying to me now"
Betty didn't say anything she just looked up at him with tears in her eyes
Jughead waited for her to say something but she didn't "More silence, great" He scoffed "I'm done Betty"
Betty wiped her tear "What do you mean you're done. Are- are you breaking up with me"
Jughead turned around to leave her room "You're not giving me much of a choice are you"
He walked out, not looking back.
