{General POV}
Veronica wiped her tears as she looked over and saw Betty curled up into a ball in her seat, silently crying. Veronica pulled out her phone and called Jughead.
Jughead, who was on his way to meeting Malachi, sighed and answered his phone.
"Hey Veronica, what's up" Jughead asked as he answered his phone
"Jughead are you home" Veronica asked, trying to sound as normal as possible.
"No I'm with the serpents, why"
Veronica looked over at Betty who was looking at her through her tear filled eyes. "Because something happened with Betty and she really needs you right now"
Jughead stopped walking "What happened, is she ok"
"No" Veronica cried "Just get home. I don't care how important the serpents mean to you. Right now Betty needs you more"
"Veronica, is the baby ok" Jughead asked
"Be at your trailer in ten minutes, you guys can talk there" Veronica said hanging up.

"Jones, what's wrong" Sweet Pea asked him
Jughead looked up at them. Yes this was important, but Betty mattered more.
"I have to go, something happened with Betty" Jughead told them trying to call Veronica again but she didn't pick up
"Fine, you go for your girl, we'll take care of this" Fangs said
Jughead nodded and got on his motorcycle driving off.

"What if he leaves me V" Betty worried
"Betty he loves you, he won't break up with you over this. You'll be fine" Veronica reassured her
Betty nodded opening the car door and getting out.
Veronica watched as Jughead opened the door and gave her a hug as Betty broke down in his arms.
Jughead gave Veronica a look of confusion.
Veronica gave him a weak smile and drove away.

"Come on Betts" Jughead said leading her inside the trailer
"Juggie, I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry" Betty cried
"Betts, calm down" Jughead said trying to calm her down but ultimately failing "What's wrong"
"When I was at Veronica's house having a sleepover and I went to the bathroom, there was blood everywhere Jug. I quickly told Veronica and she took me to the hospital"
Jughead's mind finally connected all the pieces. No, no, not them, not like this, he thought.
"When we got there, the doctor couldn't find a heartbeat. I killed our baby girl Juggie" Betty sobbed looking down at her feet
Jughead, who was leaning against the door, didn't say anything, he just stood there. Betty looked up at him and saw that he had an angry expression on his face.
"Jug, I'm sorry. I really am" Betty cried not wanting him to be angry with her
Jughead shook his head "I'm not mad at you Betty, but I'm sorry I have to go"
Betty started to cry even more as Jughead slammed the door behind him.

"Jones what are you doing here. I thought you were dealing with the Gholies" Toni asked him as he walked into the whyte wyrm
"I need a beer" Jughead told her completely ignoring her question.
"No way Jughead, tell me what's wrong and then I'll decide if I give you one or not" Toni argued
Jughead rolled his eyes and sat down "It's Betty"
"What's wrong, is she ok, Is my little niece ok" Toni asked
Besides Veronica, Toni was the only other person that knew about Betty's pregnancy.
Jughead shook his head as he wiped a tear that had escaped his eye "She lost the baby Toni"
Toni gasped "No, no. She- she was doing very good in taking care of herself. No! It's not possible"
"She did, and it's all my fault" Jughead said punching the table
"Jughead, it wasn't your fault, it was not Betty's fault, maybe it just wasn't meant for you two to have a kid yet" Toni said wiping her tears
"Yes it is Toni" Jughead argued "She's been stressed not wanting her mother to find out, I should have told Alice and then maybe she would not have lost her"
"Where's Betty" Toni asked
Jughead shook his head "I stormed out on her. I got so angry with myself for not taking better care of her, she thought I was mad at her. I felt like I wanted to punch everyone in my way, I didn't want to hurt her, so I left"
"Jughead you idiot, my friend is over there crying her eyes out, she just lost her daughter and now she's scared that she's going to lose you too. So go over there and comfort her, because she's hurting too" Toni sternly told him
Jughead nodded and walked out

When Jughead arrived at the trailer, he found Betty asleep in his bed curled up into a ball. Jughead sat on the edge of the bed and kissed her forehead. Betty opened her eyes and looked up at him with her puppy eyes
"Are you mad at me" Betty whispered
"No" He answered stroking her hair
"Then why did you leave me" Betty asked
"I needed some time to process everything. I was so mad at myself, I kept thinking that I should have done a better job of taking care of you" Jughead told her
"It wasn't your fault Juggie" Betty mumbled "It was mine"
"No it was not, baby. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be" Jughead said croaking out his own words
Betty nodded and scooted over giving Jughead room to lay down, which he did. Jughead put his arm securely around Betty as she placed her head on his chest.
"I'm sorry" Betty muttered
"It wasn't your fault Juliet" Jughead reassured her "We will have many beautiful children later on, don't worry gorgeous"
