Betty and Jughead never dated in this one-shot
{General POV}
The day was finally here.
Betty Cooper was finally twenty one years old.
She was the youngest of all of her friends. They all wanted to go out and have the party of their lives, but Betty didn't want all of that, she just wanted them at a booth at Pops just like old times.
After a long time of trying to convince him, Betty finally lured Jughead back into town. Jughead had always been her best friend. She had never thought of him any other way, well not until recently.
Jughead on the other hand would always love her, he always had ever since she comforted him after he fell in kindergarten.
"Promise me you'll come back Juggie" Betty pouted as they were face timing each other "At least for me, please"
Jughead sighed leaning back into his chair. He looked at Betty through his phone and smiled "Fine, I will"
"Thanks so much Jug" Betty giggled "I'll see you tomorrow ok"
Jughead nodded and hung up. Maybe this will finally be the day that he finally told Betty how he really felt about her.
He got up of his, now empty apartment and got into his car and started the hour and a half drive back to Riverdale. There was no way he was missing Betty's birthday.

6 PM, Betty, Archie, and Veronica were sitting in a booth at Pops talking about their college graduation.
A familiar bell rung and in walked in a beanie-less Jughead
Betty turned around and smiled at him before standing up and jumping into his arms as she buried her head into his neck
"I've missed you so much" she whispered only for him to hear
"Me too Betts" Jughead smiled setting her down
"I see you two haven't seen each other in a while" Veronica laughed after Betty and Jughead sat down next to each other
They all sat there talking for three more hours until Veronica brought up the list they had made since they were sixteen.
"So Betty have you done everything on your bucket list already" Veronica asked her
"I have asked someone out, pulled an all nighter just for fun, went camping in a desert, but I still haven't done all of it" Betty sighed leaning back into her chair
"You only need one" Veronica smiled "But I thought you already would have had this one"
"No, no one" Betty sighed "You know what I think I'm just going to go home"
"No Betty wait, I'm sorry I should't have brought it up" Veronica apologized
"It's fine V. I'm just tired that's all" Betty gave her a weak smile, standing up. "Thank you guys for the best birthday"
"What was it Veronica" Jughead asked her after Betty left
"She wanted to have a passionate kiss with someone she deeply loved" Veronica said
Jughead sat there thinking for a minute "I think I'm going to go walk her home" Jughead said standing up and running up to catch up to Betty
"Hey Betts wait up" Jughead called stopping her as she turned around to face him
"Yeah" Betty asked
"Close your eyes" Jughead told her
Betty did. Jughead leaned in and gave her a long passionate kiss. Betty opened her eyes and smiled
"Now you can cross that out of your list" Jughead smiled at her
Betty smiled pulling him into another kiss.
"Happy birthday beautiful" Jughead smiled
