The most dreaded day of Jughead's life was so close, only one week left for Archie and Betty's wedding. The deal between Betty and Jughead was still going on, and the closer the day got, the more anxious Jughead got for the day it would end. Jughead's feelings for Betty had grown way more as time went on, and Veronica was the only one who he was able to talk about his feelings with. Veronica kept telling him to confess to Betty, but he always argued against her.
With one week left until they wedding, Betty started coming to Jughead's more often, she didn't want their relationship to end either, but of course the fairytale doesn't always come true.
"Thanks for driving me home Juggie" Betty smiled as Jughead pulled up in front of her house.
"Yeah, no problem Betts" Jughead smiled back.
Betty leaned in giving him a passionate kiss, that they both, hoped would never end.
"Elizabeth Cooper" Alice yelled from the front porch "you get in here right this instant"
The couple pulled away, Betty quickly unbuckled and ran towards her house with Jughead right behind her
"Mom, I'm no sorry for being late" Betty apologized
"Young lady it is two in the morning! And what are you doing kissing this guy" Alice strictly asked
"Mrs. Cooper, it's my fault I lost track of time" Jughead said trying to stop Alice from yelling at Betty.
"I would like to speak to my daughter alone, thank you very much" Alice grabbed Betty's arms dragging her inside and shutting the door behind her.
"Betty, you're wedding is in one week. What are you doing staying out until two in the morning with Jughead Jones" Alice shouted
"Mom I don't even want to marry Archie" Betty yelled back "I want to be with Jughead"
"No daughter of mine is going to be with southside trash. You're marrying Archie in a week whether you like it or not" Alice screamed
As soon as Jughead heard Alice say that, he heard Betty scream in frustration before slowly walking away.
"Jug, wait. I'm so sorry" Betty called after him
"No Betty, she's right. You deserve someone better than southside trash" Jughead shrugged looking down.
"Don't say that Juggie! You know that's not true" Betty said going up to him and lifting his face up to see her.
"You're going to be an amazing wife to Archie, first thing to do is be loyal to him" Jughead said grabbing her hands to gently remove them from his face.
Betty fully removed her hands, "Are you breaking up with me?"Jughead sighed and started walking towards his car. "Jughead!" Said making him turn back and look at her
"I don't know" Jughead simply answered, "why don't we just wait until the wedding to figure it out"
"So you're just going to wait another week until you do it" Betty asked, tears already falling down her eyes. Jughead stayed silent just looking at her, fighting the urge to comfort her.
"If you are then why not just do it now. You know what, I'll do it. We're done. Over. Just leave already" Betty opened the car door and started pushing him in.
Jughead didn't say anything else, he simply, drove off leaving Betty standing in the middle of the street in tears.
