Amy's POV
Connor had been asleep since we had gotten home an hour earlier and it was now around 9 pm. I always felt like a weirdo because I enjoyed watching him sleep. I couldn't help it, honestly. He was just so darn cute.
I laughed, realizing how pathetic I was and decided to go downstairs. I lazily got off of Connor's bed and made my way into the hall. Not paying attention, I ran face first into someone. My eyes widened once I saw that it was Daphne and I tried to make a smooth getaway. And by smooth, I meant tripping over her foot, almost falling on my face. Luckily I caught myself before I could actually fall.
"Are you okay?!" Daphne asked, grabbing my arm gently.
"Don't touch me, okay?" I retorted.
She immediately let my arm go and took a few steps back. "Sorry."
"It's fine," I mumbled, walking away.
"Wait!" she shouted, stopping me in my tracks. "Do you possibly wanna hang out with Ricky and I?"
"Now?"
She nodded.
"Uh, I would, but I have plans," I lied.
"Plans?"
I nodded. "Uh, yeah. I have plans to-"
"Hang out with me," Kian stated, cutting me off. "She forgot to do something for me that she said she would, so she has to... Hang out with me to make up for it?" It came out as more of a question.
"Yeah," I chimed in. "Sorry Daphne."
She raised her eyebrow, but eventually nodded. "Oh okay. Some other time then?"
I nodded. "Yeah sure," I replied unenthusiastically.
She sighed and slowly went into Ricky's room. I sighed in relief and directed my focus back to Kian.
"Thank you so much," I told him. "I owe you."
Kian shook his head. "It was nothing."
"Nothing? You saved me from a night of hell!"
He laughed softly. "So what do you wanna do?"
"What do you mean?"
"We're hanging out, right?"
"Uh, yeah. Why not? I have nothing better to do," I replied.
"So...again, what do you wanna do?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
"We could go in the kitchen and get food?" I suggested.
"We should attempt to bake something."
"I've never baked anything in my life, Kian," I argued.
"Neither have I! C'mon I'm bored," he pleaded.
I sighed. "Fine, but I'm blaming you if the house gets burned down."
He shrugged. "I'm blamed for everything. I'm used to it."
I rolled my eyes and held back a smile. "C'mon."
Kian followed closely behind me as we went downstairs and into the kitchen. He pushed past me and quickly climbed on the counter to sit.
"What should we try to bake?" he asked.
