Ricky's POV

"Do you think what happened last week was a sign?" Daphne asked for the 50th time.

I shrugged. "Maybe."

Daphne has been in a much better mood ever since Amy's birthday about a week ago. Daphne apparently took Amy shoving a cupcake in her face as a sign of a blossoming friendship.

"I sure hope so! I'd finally have a girl to hang out with!"

"I wouldn't be exchanging friendship bracelets just yet, Daphne," I replied.

"Why not?"

"Because you're a happy, preppy girl and Amy... well she's been through a ton of hard real-world experiences."

"And you're saying that I haven't?"

"No, of course I'm not saying that! I'm just saying that you and Amy are two completely different people."

"Opposites attract, Ricky."

I rolled my eyes. "I suppose so."

"I mean, look at us. We're nothing alike."

I shrugged. "I guess."

"Amy and I will be friends."

"Well good luck with that. You won't be seeing much of her, honestly."

"What? Why not?"

"You really don't pay much attention to your surroundings, do you, Daphne?"

She merely shrugged.

"Connor and Amy have been packing all week. They're moving into their own apartment tomorrow."

"What?!" she exclaimed. "No!"

"Well, I mean, if you really wanna be friends with her, you better give her your number or something before her and Connor leave, but Amy can be a bit stubborn so I don't know."

"Her and I will be friends, Ricky! I don't care how long it takes."

I shrugged. "Whatever you say, Daphne."

Amy's POV

"Well, this is fun," I stated.

Connor laughed softly. "Yeah, it's decent, I guess."

Connor and I were laying on the floor, cuddled together under a blanket because he took his bed apart for the move the following day.

I laughed softly. "This kinda reminds me of the night we made that pillow and blanket fort."

He laughed along with me. "That was pretty amazing."

"Ye-" I was cut off by a knock at the door.

I sighed and got up to open it. I raised my eyebrows in surprise when I saw Daphne standing there. She tried to hug me, but I stopped her by holding my hands out in front of me. She must have noticed my discomfort because she took a few steps back.
