Friends Forever

Chapter 12

"You said what?!" Kat yelled causing a few students to look at our table. I shush her. "Keep it down will ya? I don't want to have any attention." I scolded.

"To hell with that! What's wrong with you? Why did you said yes?" Kat demanded. Its lunch time and we're in cafeteria when I suddenly blurted out about this morning with James.

"Who cares? James and Maddi look so cute together." Lily gushed. Kat groaned, "But he cheated on her."

"Maybe he's change." Lily shot back.

Alli glare at her, "Once a cheater will always be a cheater Lilian." she stated with so much venom in it. She turn her glare to me, "What were you thinking Maddison?"

I sigh and rubbed my face. "I don't know guys. He just pleaded at me and I saw how vulnerable he looks. I sort of lost it and give in." I told them. Hailey who's been silent the whole time finally spoke up.

"You're gonna get your heart broken again Maddi. But I know someone will be there to pick the broken pieces. And its not gonna be us." She said.

"Why not us?" Kat growled out.

Hailey rolled her eyes and pulled her closer, whispering something at her ears. Kat eyes widen then she look at me. "Girl, you gonna break someone's hearts now. " she simply stated before standing up and walking over to Nate who happily pull her to his lap and kissing her like his life depends on it.

"What did you say to her?" I asked Hailey.

She grinned at me, "You're so dense about love sometimes. It's time for you to figure this all out by yourself." she answered and eat her burger. I look over at Lily and Alli who just shrug their shoulder. I sigh and shook my head before continue eating my sandwich.

The bell rang signalling lunch time is over. I stood up and throw away my trash before walking to my locker with Hailey beside me. 

"Are you sure you really want to give James another chance?" she asked.

I sigh, "I don't know anymore. I mean, I still do like him but I don't feel that way like before anymore." I admitted.

"Then you should tell him." she replied and went in the class leaving me standing there. What have I gotten myself into?

The school has finally ended. I walk to the front doors and saw James leaning against my car. He smile when he saw me.

"Hey." he greeted as he pull me in for a hug.

I mumbled a hi before stepping around him and unlock my car and put my backpack in the passanger seats.

"What are you doing later tonight?" I heard him asked.

I look back at him, "Don't know. Maybe will be at mum's restaurant." I answered. He nod his head and stuff his hands in his pocket. "Thought we could go out tonight." he stated.

I shrug, "Yeah. Sure." I smiled. He grinned at me, "Good. I'll pick you up at 6.30 then." he told me before kissing my cheek and walk away. I sigh. I look around the parking lot when my eyes met with the grey ones.

He's eyebrows furrowed and he sort of had this sad expression. Maybe I'm hallucinating. I shook my head and got in the driver seat before starting the engine and drive back to my house.

Somehow, I had a feeling this not going to end well. I don't even know if I'm doing the right thing or not. I groaned and parked my car in the driveway before getting out, locking the car ans walk to the front doors of my house.

I got in and literally ran upstairs to my room and throw myself on my heavenly bed. I groaned when my phone start buzzing letting me know that I received a new message. I sigh and reluctantly got up and grabbed my phone from my bag. It's a message from Andrea.
