Chapter 24

Ashton POV

"What do you mean mum's giving birth?" Hunter shouted.

I groaned. "It means, mum is having a baby soon. Lets go." Jack exclaimed and pull Hunter along. We were just getting ready for school when we received a called from dad saying mum's giving birth.

"Hunter, come on let's go. We're having baby girl!" Jack yelled, getting really annoyed with him.

Hunter grumbled and got in the backseat and Jack follow suit. I shook my head and get in the driver seat and start the car and back off the driveway and drive to the hospital.

I parked in the parking lot an hour later. We got out the car and I locked it. On the way of making our way there, I texted Daniel and Maddi telling them that I won't be at school and the reasons.

"Uhh Lizsie Collin?" Jack asked the front counter.

She typed something in her computer. "On the second floor, turn left, two doors down." she said. We thanked her and make our way there. My phone beep and the screen say 'Bae' so, Maddi has replied.

'Alright. Dan and I will come see you later then? Take care' I smile and replied an okay before going inside the room with the rest. Mum is laying on the bed sleeping while dad is at the chair, rocking the baby.

"What's her name?" I asked.

Dad look at us and smile. "Lila, Lila Collin. Short and sweet." he answered. "Lila." I repeated, smiling. "I like it." I said.

They nod, "She's so cute with her rosy cheeks." Hunter gushed looking at our newborn sister. Or more like newborn princess.

"Well we have to keep her away from boys." I declared. Hunter and Jack look over at me and nod, "Yeah you're right. She had to be keep away from the boys." Jack stated.

Dad laugh, "Boys and their protectiveness." dad said as he shook his head.

"Hey, you're a guy too." Hunter retorted. Dad stop laughing and narrowed his eyes at Hunter, "I'm a man." he shot back.

We laugh. Mum start stirred, mum yawned and her eyes fluttered opened. She stare at all of us and smile. "God, the baby's finally out. Its such a difficult task to walk down the stairs with the big belly." she grumbled.

"So, no more baby?" Hunter asked.

Mum shook her head, "Jesus no! I'm done with four kids." she said. Hunter pout, "Just one more?" he asked with pleading look.

"What do you think I am? Child maker machine?" mum snapped.

We laugh, dad kiss her forehead. "Let them be honey. It's not like you don't know them." dad said. Mum just grunted and held out her arm, gesturing dad to give her Lila.

"So Ashton, Jack and Hunter has been telling us about this girl named Maddison. When are we going to meet her?" mum asked casually. I glare at the two boys who smiling at me sheepishly.

I cleared my throat, "Uhh she'll be here after school with Daniel and Andrea." I told her.

She grinned, "Great! Maybe you'll finally settle down with this girl." she said. I rolled my eyes, "Mum please don't put your hopes up too high."

"Why? Don't you like this girl?" she asked. At this point of time, dad and the rest has already went out. Lila is already at her little baby thingy, I never knew what this things are called.

I sigh and sat on the chair beside her bed, smiling a little. "Its not that. She's amazing. She's different. I don't know what that is but she just something else. Seeing her smile somehow make me feels a lot better. The way she laugh or smile at me, makes me feel this weird things. I... I don't even know the specific reason why I like her." I said.
