Chapter 14

Ashton's POV

"Hunter! Where's Jamie?" I yelled out as soon as I got inside of the house after school. Hunter rushed down the stairs.

"Fucking hell! I forgot that it's my turn to fetch him! Fuck!" he cursed and ran back upstairs. Probably to change. "Forget it, Jack is already on his way to fetch him." I simply said.

He stop running up and turn to glare down at me, "Fuck you Ashton! Why'd you do that?" he exclaimed.

I laugh and smirk, "That's what happened when you keep forgetting doin your jobs." I answered and walk to the living room. I heard Hunter curse me which just causing me to laugh harder. I sit on the couch and turn on the tv. I reached out for my phone and scrolling through Twitter, basically just reading people's tweet.

'Met with my bae.' some girl from my English class tweeted. Twitter would always entertain me. They tweet stuff like that and I would just be like 'who the fuck cares'. I snorted and decide to locked my phone and went to the backyard to smoke.

Its been awhile since I last smoke, I miss it. I light up the cigarette and take a huge drag from it before blow out the smoke.

Somehow my mind drifting off to Maddison. The way her eyes light up when she laugh or smile. She's so oblivious to my attempt of flirting with her. Her eyes would twinkle whenever she saw me but again, she's so dense. She still thought she has feelings for that fuck face. I could just tell her that I like her but I want her to have the affect that I always had everytime I'm around her first.

Every time she's with me, I couldn't come up a proper way to start a conversation. I would still stuttering. And every time we walk beside each other, I could smell her sweet scent. Making me wanting to pull her close and breath her in.

Okay creepy dude, creepy. a voice said in my head. I groaned and rubbed my face. There I go again, fantasy about Maddison.

I heard a car engine turn off before a jingle of keys at the front door. "Honey! I'm home!" Jack called out.

"You don't have a bae, let alone honey." Hunter retorted.

"At least I could have girls anywhere and anytime. Unlike you, you have to use your lame pick-up lines or whatever you do to get the girl." Jack shot back. I groaned, "Shut up you rascals." I scolded, "Jamie. Go take your bath." I ordered.

Jamie giggle and ran upstairs to his room. I look back at Hunter and Jack whose smiling sheepishly at me. I rolled my eyes, "I'm hungry." I mumbled and walk to the kitchen to grabbed some ingredients so I could make dinner.

Mum and dad are hardly home. They're workaholic. Sometimes I think they forget that they had kids back home. And then I wonder, how do they have time to have sex? Cause right now, my mom is 7 month's pregnant.

"Your phone's buzzing Ash. Make it stop!" Jack called out.

I turn around, just in time to catch my phone that Jack has just threw at me. I give him the evil eyes before shaking my head and cut the vegetables. After I've done with the cooking, I sat on the kitchen island and read the message I've received from Daniel, 'Dude! Maddi and James get back together. Its official man! He just asked her out at the park near the restaurant where she work.'

My eyes went wide and I reread the text, hoping I was just seeing things. But now, Its official. I may have lost the chance to have Maddison. I sigh and rest my chin on my palm.

"Trouble in paradise?" I heard Hunter teased.

I glance back and rolled my eyes at him. Hunter and Jack walk in sitting across from me, staring at me.
