"Jamie! Don't go out there. No, god Jamie get back here!" Ashton yelled at Jamie who run around the backyard, almost falling over in the pond.

The doorbell rang, "Ash there's someone at the door!" I called out.

"Then help me get it. I don't have many hands and legs now alright." He snapped.

"You could have ask nicely." I shot back and walk back inside and make my way to the front doors. I turn the knob and Daniel, Andrea and some girl I don't know standing there.

"Maddi? I didn't know you're here." Dan muttered.

"Jamie! Come back here!" I heard Ashton called out.

Soon my legs were attack and Jamie hugging my leg like his life depended on it. I lift him off the ground and notice tears streaming down his face. "Hey? You okay?" I asked.

"No." he mumbled and buried his face at the crook of my neck. I turn and look at Ashton, "What did you do?" I demanded.

Ashton scoff, "He's a pain in the ass."

I scowl, "Doesn't mean you have to be harsh with him. He's 5 for god's sake!" I snapped. He sigh and ran his hand through his hair, "I'm not good at kids alright. That's why they're here." he yelled.

I rolled my eyes and huffed, "Come on Jamie, lead me to your room." I said. He got down from my hold and took my hand, leading me upstairs. "Will you play dinosaurs with me?" he asked with his big blue eyes.

After few hours of playing around with Jamie, he finally fell asleep snoring while snuggling with his blanket. I smile. I switch off and light and turn on the lamp before quietly walking out of the room.

I walk downstairs and look at the time, "Shit. I'm late." I cursed myself and quickly ran down and grabbed my backpack, making my way to the front doors.

"Where are you going?"

I turn around and notice Ashton standing there with his trousers that hung dangerously low at his hips. I force myself to look into his eyes. "I'm going to the mall." I retorted sarcastically, "Of course I'm going home. Its already late." I answered.

I turn around to walk out, only to be stopped by him grabbing my arm. "Thank you. For taking care of my brother." He muttered from behind me. I look back and gave him a small smile, "No biggie. I love that kid anyway."

"I'd loved to stay and chat but I really need to go." I told him and tugged my arm out of his grasp and made a mad dash to the front doors and into my car.

"Where were you young lady?" dad demanded from behind me as soon as I walk in the house. I cringe, So much for not making any noises.

I sigh and turn to look at him, "I was at a friend's house. I played around with his little brother and sort of lost track of time." I answered.

Dad muttered something in Greek before disappearing back in his office. I rolled my eyes, "I love you too dad." I called out.

I sigh and walk in my room, dumping my backpack by the desk and throw myself on my bed, feeling really exhausted.

"Dad! Is mum home yet?" I called out.

"No! She's out of town. She had some business to take care of." I heard him answered. I groaned. Mum hardly home. Hence, the reason why I'm so close to dad.

I always thought dad would be absent in my life a lot instead of mum. Dad's a business man while mum is the owner of a restaurant So I never understand why mum is so much busier than dad.
