Chapter 21

Maddison POV

I woke up feeling groggy the next day. Its Saturday, I don't have any plans so I might as well go back to sleep. But my stomach starts grumbling.

I groaned and got up from my bed, making my way downstairs to the kitchen. I grabbed a bowl of cereal with milk and a glass of Orange juice. I walk back upstairs and sit on my desk, turning on my laptop. I moved over to the bed and turn on the tv that is hang on the wall. I decide to just watch Netflix and watch Hunger games.

I eat a spoonful of the cereal and munch on it. After few hours of watching Netflix, I heard the doorbell rang. I inwardly groaned before getting out of my comforting nest and got out of the room to get to the door.

Andrea stood there, grinning at me. I look at her weirdly, "Um can I help you?" I asked. She sigh like she's in some sort of trance. "Yeah... I'm in cloud 9." she answered.

I scratch my head, not sure how I should react to that. "Okaaaaay?"

She grinned at walk inside, "He's amazing and sweeet. He just ahhhhhh." she squeal.

Okay, I'm lost. What?

"He well he give me flowers. Not any flowers but roses! Not just one but a bunch of roses. He even being all gentleman with me. He don't even let me pay myself. He's so sweet." She gushed.

"Uhhh....." is all I can say at the moment. I'm very lost.

She sat down and sigh in content. She look at me and smile, "So what are you up to?" She asked.

"Huh?"

She laugh and rolled her eyes, "Did I bore you with my stories?" she asked. I choked on my saliva, "What?" I squeaked out.

She rolled her eyes, "Are you okay or not?" she asked.

I shook my head, "No. You lost me at cloud 9." I answered and went to sit beside her on the couch. She chuckled, "Sorry." she said sheepishly.

I shrug, "Its cool."

She grinned, "So we don't kiss or anything. But he do kiss my cheek and said that he'd like to hang out again sometimes."

My lips stretch to a huge smile, "That's great! You doing great. Just make sure he didn't say the friend word. Friendzone sucks." I told her.

She give her 'Are you serious' look. "What?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes, "Friendzone sucks but you friendzone Ashton." she retorted.

"Hey! I'm not ready for relationship!" I shot back.

She sigh, "And what if Nate also not ready for relationship?" she asked as she rest her chin on her palm.

I smile softly at her, "Then you'll just wait for him til your heart can't take it anymore."

"Just like how Ashton will wait for you?" she asked.

I smile and nod, "Yeah. Just like how he'll wait for me." I answered quietly.

"Maybe you should tell him the truth." Alli said as she eat her ice cream.

Its Sunday, I decided to spend time with Alli cause I miss her. Thankfully, she agreed. I sigh, "I don't know. What if something go wrong? And what if I get hurt all over again?"

Alli groaned, "Love is all about taking risk Maddi. Its about taking chances. You can't have a perfect relationship. There will always be the ups and down. And its you and him who will decide if you should keep it going or just give up." she said.
