(Jenna)

I got the feeling that I hadn't explained my childhood clearly enough to Zorua's schoolmates, so I tried again. And when I did, let's just say they were completely shocked that I had only recently evolved into a Gardevoir.

The exact words some of them said were: "You're almost eighteen and you've only been a Gardevoir for four days!!!" "You were never a Kirlia! You just went straight from a Ralts to a Gardevoir overnight!" "I'm glad I don't have a grandfather like yours! The nerve! Keeping you an untrained Ralts until you had to run away from home!!!"

That last part had to be explained by Stoutland after I told him my childhood story. I responded by answering "Yeah, technically" to their questions as I sweat-dropped during the part in between the first and last one.

After I teleported back to the lab, I grudgingly continued with Scholar's band-aid solution training. (Sadly, Espeon couldn't teach me how to block visions until I have one first.)

It was during a very pointless exercise with Scholar holding the iPods, as they were playing music, out of reach and I was trying to walk towards them so I could turn them off. Somehow my resentment got temporarily in sync with my psychic powers and I had my very first vision.

(I remember thinking, not for the first time, why I had to learn from a Malamar of all Pokemon, when the vision came.)

The vision was of Darkrai and he was floating in some kind of spring. The cave he was in was pitch black, even I almost missed seeing him and I can still see in the dark. I also saw the water trying to heal him and restore his energy.

When I reached out and touch him I saw those same black swirls from my premonition dream. They were draining Darkrai of his strength just a little faster than the spring could restore it. From there, I examined the swirls.

My instincts were telling me not to touch those swirls (no duh) but they also told me that I would get more answers if I held my hand out to them; out of reach of course.

When I did, I saw those swirls take notice and try to latch onto me. They looked like Eelektross without arms and fins and I was very glad that they couldn't touch me. I was even more glad when they let go of Darkrai and the spring did its job.

The spring began to glow, dissolving the black swirls and getting rid of them entirely.

It was when the vision was fading that I heard the words: "King Darkrai has only been granted a temporary relief," a disembodied voice said. "Who or whatever is draining him will be back stronger than before. You need to find out who is doing this and stop them before it's too late."

Then I was back to myself, hands and knees on the floor, and a very worried Scholar standing before me.

"What did you see?" he asked.

"I saw Darkrai. He's in a lot more trouble than he's letting on."

"I was afraid of that," Scholar said. Then he held out his hand to me and I took it without hesitation, much to his surprise.

After I was standing again I asked if we could continue with his training.
