"Look at my face while you talkin to me
cause we only have one conversation a week
Can i get one conversation at least?"
- Star shopping, lil peep

"When did you start drawing?" Curiosity crept into the features of my face as I admired the multiple beautiful artwork hanging on the wall.

"Since I was eight." Grayson responded nonchalantly, laying carelessly on his maroon couch placed inside the studio.

He didn't look merely interested. Words were getting dragged out of his mouth unwillingly— he just didn't want to share anything.

"What about this one?" I pointed at a certain artwork, glancing back towards him."What does it mean?"

The effort of initiating a conversation was failing miserably. I was trying my hardest to get him to talk, almost pleading him to share a single thing. No use

Three days had passed by. Three days of trying to work on the given assignment and three days of no progress.

Failure was starting to set in—he seemed distant more and more each day as I started seeing him frequently now.

He apologized after what happened the last time and from then we were on good terms—I think.

I still didn't understand how such accusation got around to the point where he actually believed and was so convinced of it happening even after I was clear to deny it.

"This was dedicated to my mother on her birthday." He breathed, finally letting out "I thought I would paint something special to her."

"Somehow making her feel loved and appreciated." His voice was low—words almost being murmured.

I didn't quietly catch on what he meant and that was merely understandable. However, I shrugged it off knowing too well the chances of him opening up were slight and almost non-existent.

Nonetheless, the artwork was absolutely breathtaking.

"A softy, I see." I teased, trying to lighten the mood up and to fortunately my luck, it worked.

"Shut up" he chuckled softly at my remark smiling crookedly to the ground. A smile full of agony and hurt—a smile that didn't dare reach his eyes.

"Hey," I caught his attention speaking softly before stepping closer to where he sat, bending down to meet his level.

I held his chin up forcing him to look at me as his hazel green eyes looked ever so softly and vulnerable making me forget about rude grayson, the grayson who's always angry or not pleased about something.

"Are you shy?" I snickered.

"Oh shut up" he laughed loudly yanking my hand away from him as I stood up laughing lightly

"I think this is the first time I've genuinely seen you laugh." I randomly blurted out, after silence sat between us for a moment. "I like it."
