"In my quite darkened room, alone
  except for a memory
the night cries for daybreak but
the tears make no sound"

morning comes before its over
the song, a muted buzz
the cries inside the minds of many
but their tears make no sound

pray for tears that sound like rainfall
pray for songs inside my head
dream away the night, but waken
mourning comes before the dawn "

The room fell into utter silence for flash seconds before getting filled with applause from all around.

"Miss Rose, you never fail to amaze me every time."Rose's professor gushed as pure satisfaction and impressiveness were plastered onto his features.

She flashed everyone a rather shy smile, showing her thank you's. She wasn't a shy person but the intense gazes everyone thrown her and the attention that spotlighted her presence weren't her favorite thing

Getting back to her seat—Dean—a guy she learned to know gradually about from her class leaned forward, showcasing his infamous grin. "That was quite impressive, Rose."

"Why thank you," she simply grinned back.

"What's it called?" he tested, genuinely becoming intrigued in her piece. Because that's the type of effect Rose's poetry had—alluring, magnetizing and powerful.

"Alone in my room."

She was what you would not only call a beautiful face, but a beautiful soul too.

His lips curved slightly downwards along arched eyebrows and an amused expression. He liked that, a lot for some reason.

It wasn't long till she fell into fits of light laughter due to his amused features. But it also wasn't long as they were both shushed harshly by the professor to keep shut.

Her and Dean, were good friends. Not too close but they weren't acquaintances either. He was a nice decent guy who also majored in journalism making the two spark a friendship due to mutual interests.

Soon enough, Mr. Greg's deep voice floated through the room gaining everyone's attention. "Alright class," he started, fixing his posture. "I think we have a couple of changes to do. This is your opportunity to unleash the true creative writer buried within you and I hope you impress me enough."

They listened further attentively with a more narrowed face now. "This is going to be your last assignment for this semester before summer break. It got to be something huge."

"Like Grayson Dolan's wiener" a mystery girl in the back muttered to her little girl group as they fell into giggles like little school girls

Not surprisingly, her remark was pretty heard by Rose making her pupils dilate in place. How does she know that?

The shocked expression soon transformed into an annoyed one and she was glad she wasn't the only one as she noticed Dean mimic her scrunched expression. Yikes

"This Dolan guy is all over every girl's gossip topic," he shook his head annoyed. "It's like...he's the topic of each women's magazine. It's ridiculous." He mumbled lastly.
