"I'll see what i can do." I sighed into the phone letting my hand dangle around the back of my neck tugging frustratedly on my ruffled hair.

"Great." Cara's voice echoed throughout the speakers, ending the call instants after.

She was pissed, and that was merely understandable as her bestfriend got used—used by my brother.

I winced immediately at the single thought. Rose meant a lot to me, me and her were good friends and it maddened me seeing the experience she went through.

"Goddammit Grayson." I muttered, tilting my head backwards into the couch's cushion feeling disappointment roam through me.

Disappointment at my brother, that was also nowhere to be seen. It's like he magically disappeared as the last time I saw him was at the party.

The house was empty and so was his studio that was left abandoned with all his stuff still in there.

I picked up my phone, pressing through his contact name in iMessage— Bailey

Where are you?

I paced around the room collecting my thoughts as I awaited impatiently for his reply. Five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes— no response.

I unlocked my phone once again, pressing the call button. It automatically took me to voicemail. "You have officially reached Grayson's number, please-"

"Oh, fuck it." A heavy groan made it's way out before I ended the call, tossing my phone into the couch present in front of me.

The loud sounds of the doorbell rung through the entire house snapping me out of my tensed state. Eagerly, I headed over to the door with frantic steps as the ringing became done repeatedly and in a roughly manner.

"I'm coming goddam-" I was met with a very unexpected guest. I thought it would be Grayson and there I was met with disappointment, once again—a feeling that doesn't seem to go away.

"Cara?" my face narrowed, surprised by her presence.

With no other word exchanged from her side, she pushed past the door brushing aggressively into my chest, making further steps into the residence.

Her eyes wandered around the living room scanning the atmosphere before she stopped in her tracks, glancing back towards me. "Where is he?"

"I don't know." Genuinely being clueless to Grayson's condition, my chest heaved up and down feeling all sort of emotions weigh me down.

"I told you to not cover up for him."

"And I told you not to come here." I shot back instantly, letting my irritation get the best of me as seconds flashed by.
