"Cause maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me. And after all, you're my wonderwall."
-Wonderwall; Zella Day

She didn't really realize it, how moments with our loved ones go by in a blank. Vanish away. An hour feels like two seconds and a day feels like a total of ten minutes with them.

Her only wish in that moment was to freeze time. If only super powers were real.
She'd use it to her own advantage, she'd kiss him endlessly, she'd savor the feel of his arms engulfing her.

And maybe if she seriously got that super power, she'd let him make love to her one last time before they both drift apart into different countries where they pursue different dream paths.

Here they were, Rose and Grayson, fingers tightly intertwined to one another. Afraid to let go—afraid they'll slip by.

In the midst of the other crowds, they all stood on the ground of the airport trying to pull themselves together as Rose's flight to New York city was near.

The clock was ticking. Oh, truly how much I wish I could freeze time.

"You fucks better call us on FaceTime every night," Cara jokingly stared into Grayson and Ethan, eyeing them with threat-full eyes and a light glare.

She tried with all her being to light the situation up. It didn't need to be too sappy and emotional. Her being around Ethan was starting to become bearable. It didn't phase her much anymore. She was moving on.

It was a lesson, a tough one. You can't make people fall in love with you just because you have feelings for them. Some things don't work out the way we want them to.

Maybe once she goes to New York with her best friend, love will be awaiting her there with a new sparkle—a new individual and a new soul connection that'll probably make her forget. Nobody knows, it's all up to fate.

"I'll miss you flat ass," Ethan remarked bluntly towards Cara.

Expecting a fumed reaction from her, he got none. She did nothing but display him a typical unbothered face. "You weren't saying that when you took me from behind."

Silence.

"What?" Grayson and Rose both replied in sync, serving nothing but confusion. "You two slept together?" Rose questioned.

Ethan and Cara both looked over the individuals present nodding in unison. "Night of the party," Cara shrugged. "One night stand."

Rose's eyebrows knitted harshly taking the news in. All this time she thought these two were too afraid to confront each other and admit their undeniable chemistry. "But you two have feelings for each other, right?"

Denial and nothing but lies dripped off their eyes as they innocently shook their head repeating together. "One night stand."

"You bitch," Rose gasped jokingly.

"What?" Cara dragged her words, acting dumbfounded. "Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry you told me about your sex life and I didn't."
