Conor's POV
"Baby give me it!"
I chuckle when Alaska runs away with my camera, her hair fluttering behind her.
It's like she's already made up a plan, her eye against the viewfinder as she positions herself to snap a quick picture of me standing opposite her.
"Please, Allie. I need to transfer the footage"
She ignores my pleads, too stuck in her photography to even hear a word that I'm saying.
I find it fascinating how you can love something that much that it simply takes you away from reality. How you can love a camera the way Alaska did.
But I guess that had always been the music in my case seeing singing had been my way of escaping life's all troubles during the majority of my life.
"Look at me with those eyes, put your hand inside of mine"
It was my song, her soft voice making my lips curve up into a smile. I hadn't heard her sing a lot but when she did was it as if all my problems just went out the window.
"You aren't allowed to sing that yet, it hasn't even been released"
She chuckles, cheekily sticking her tongue out at me.
"But you are my boyfriend so I don't even care"
Her arms grab onto my waist after she's but my camera down on my desk, our bodies now touching. Suddenly I forget about the footage I needed to transfer, my heart beating fast in my chest when she attaches her lips to mine.
"Alright, as much as I'd love to just fuck you all day do I actually need to get this footage sorted out"
I pull away, managing to snatch the camera off my desk before we both fall down on the bed together.
"What have you planned to do today?"
Alaska leans her head against my shoulder as I start going through the footage that I'd shot last night. It'd been late when I got back and I hadn't been in the mood of transferring it yesterday even though I knew Jack needed the camera to film today.
"I think Joe wanted me to come over and film something later and then Alex is supposed to drop by tonight, I haven't seen him in ages"
Alex had been my best friend since school and he still was just that, my best friend. But things had never been easy in our friendship, we often have fallouts and silly arguments. Alaska often scolds me for not appreciating him enough at times but I guess that's just who I am, a selfish fucker.
"What are you filming?"
I sigh, Joe's ideas were known for being weird and stupid but I'd always had a strange liking to them. I enjoyed them a lot more than Jack's videos and he's proven many of times that he isn't in it for the money or the fame.
"I don't even know, but you know how Joe is when it comes to filming"
She nods, her attention now being on the video that was playing on my laptop screen. I just had to put the prerecorded audio over it and the edit should be done, the charm of doing music videos really. And the amount of money in it is literally insane. I'd never thought it'd blow up since I'm not that big of a deal anymore. Yet people seem to love these sing-offs that I've been doing and the views have literally been insane. A few of them had even gone viral with over twenty million views already.
But it's not only in views way that my channel has been expanding lately, the number of new subscribers literally doubling during the past few months. I'd gained around three million in a year, something that is totally insane.
