"My mom.. she's alive and after us." I said as Jahseh rubbed my back trying to calm me down.
"After what? What is she after? Who even is she?" He rushed his words as confusion spread all over his face.
"I told you this story Jah." I said as I wiped my tears. His face relaxed and followed up with a face of shock.
"Oh shit." He said as he shook his head looking down at the floor.
"What is she after?" He asked.
"Kayla sounded rushed, like she always does when she's not supposed to be doing something. She didn't get a chance to tell me what." I managed to get out as I hiccuped.
"What did she say?" He said as he wrapped his arms around me giving me warmth.
"To leave wherever you are, now." I said.
"Man, fuck that bitch!" Stokeley yelled from the couch as me and Jahseh turned our heads.
"We're fine where we are. How are you gonna believe the gang that got Jah locked up?" Stokeley said as he started to breath heavy.
"That's my cousin, Stokeley." I said as he scuffed.
"The same cousin that got jealous over you and helped take Jahier , yeah okay." He said as me and Jah's face turned into a frown.
"What?" I asked him. Kayla didn't even know about us. She couldn't have done that. Stokeley froze as if he fucked up.
"Look, I see you're worried.. I'll go get the twins and we'll go to my house. Okay?" He asked as I slightly nodded. He got up off the couch walking. I looked over to Jahseh which was in thinking mode.
"Jah, did you hear him?" I said as he looked up at me.
"Yes." He replied as he looked back down.
"What is he talking about." I said.
"Stokeley wouldn't do that, he couldn't." Jahseh rushed to say as he shook his head in disbelief.
"Why would he want us to stay? Why would he want us to go to HIS house? Anytime I called you or visited you he always got slightly jealous Jahseh." I said as he looked up to me with tears in his eyes.
"I don't wanna believe it as much as you do , but we have to get the kid-" I got cut off by Stokeley coming downstairs with the twins in his hands.
"Guys come on. Stop the sap shit." He said as he put some of my breast milk from the refrigerator into a bag.
"Dada y so quickie?" Sawyer said as he bit on his thumb like he does when he's worried about me or his father.
"Don't worry about it Sawyer, everything's fine." Stokeley said as Sawyer nodded.
"Dada r u comin wif us?" Jahier said as he looked over at Jahseh.
"Don't worry, I'm not leaving you anytime soon." Jahseh replied with a weak smile. I hope he doesn't .
"Okay guys come on." Stokeley said as he made his way to the door.
"It's okay actually, Me and Jahseh are going to take Jahier and Sawyer to moms. Jahseh just got out and she really wants to him. We'll be safe there." I said as Stokeley's face turned to a frown.
"You guys don't trust me?" Stokeley said as me and Jahseh remained quiet.
"Jahseh?" Stokeley said. Jahseh looked at him with no emotion on his face.
"Really Jersey ?" Stokeley said .
"We're just being safe." I replied as a look of sadness came over his face. He slightly nodded putting down the bag and grabbing his keys on the counter.
"Tell me the schedule on seeing Sawyer." He said as his raspy voice broke. He opened the door looking at Sawyer one more time before closing it.
————————————————————— This is so short again but there's a lot going on at the moment 😭 I'm going through this hard ass break up and I have hella late work.
I'm also planning a gender reveal for my sister so writing hasn't really been on my mind at the moment. Every time I open my phone I see you guys commenting which brightens my day. 💕
