Thursday Morning

9:42 AM

Amelia sat on the edge of the bed she and Betty shared. They had a last minute pit stop at a motel when Amelia started to have really bad hip and groin pains. She knew she had been sitting for too long and definitely needed the lie down. After a good nights sleep and a safely warm shower, Amelia was ready to be back at Oceanside Wellness. She slipped her ring back on her finger and admitted it for a minute as Betty emerged from the bathroom ready for whatever life was about to hand her. "Alright, so I was thinking we stop by the practice, have breakfast with them, then maybe do some shopping, and see where we go from there," Amelia said. Betty put her hair into a messy bun and shrugged.

"Sounds good to me," she complied, knowing that she didn't really care what they did. She was just glad that she and Amelia were a day away from Silas and anything he could do. His text played over and over in her head. His threat against her was one thing. But to threatened her family was another thing. And she wasn't gonna have it. She didn't know, just yet, how she would get rid of Silas, but she knew she had to do something. Sitting around on her hands, was the last thing she was about to do. Amelia grabbed her purse and ushered Betty out of the room to begin their adventure.

10:09 AM

Amelia walked into the vaguely familiar work space to see a new receptionist, that looked like she was completely lost. Amelia noticed Betty's concern and pulled her past the desk. "You can just walk in here?" Betty asked. Amelia pointed to an old business photo on the wall and nodded.

"When your picture is on the wall, you can typically get away with most anything," she smirked. Abruptly, Amelia came to a halt and pulled her cardigan closed. "Do I look pregnant?" Amelia asked. Betty shifted her weight onto one foot and folded her arms.

"Why are you trying to hide this? You're not sixteen and they aren't going to ground you," Betty said. Amelia quickly snapped out of her previous pregnancy's mindset and undid her cardigan.

"You're right. This is a good thing. This baby is with a man I love. And we are clean and healthy," Amelia rationalized. Betty shook her head and tried to wipe the faint smile off her face as she followed Amelia to the break room. Everyone's back was to the glass so it was only fitting that Amelia and Betty snuck in. "Morning guys, ya know read this article somewhere that said you should greet your friends at the elevator to make them feel really welcomed," Amelia said as she started to make oatmeal and pretend like it was a normal morning and like she hadn't been away for forever.

"That's funny because," Sheldon started, before Addison cut him off.

"Amelia! You're here!" She squealed going in for a huge hug. As the realization this was not a dream set in everyone started to gather around for hugs. After Addison came Naomi, then Charlotte.

"Amelia! Oh look at you! It's been so long!" She smiled. "You are gorgeous and all grown up. What did Seattle do to you?" She rhetorically asked with a grin. Amelia shrugged and went to Violet next.

"It's good to see you. Are you doing okay?" The psychiatrist asked. Amelia nodded and pulled away before Jake side hugged her and Sam noticed the rock on her finger.

"Amelia, are you married?" He asked. Amelia pulled away from Jake with a small smile. Amelia finished her round of hugs, before taking her rightful place at the island in front of the sink.

"I was, and I will be again," she rambled. "I'm remarrying my ex. You know what that's like, right Sam?" Amelia tried to relate. Sam slowly nodded with a chuckle and went back to reading his charts.

"So, who's the lucky guy?" Violet asked. Amelia placed her on stomach and used the fingers sticking out of her splint to pull Betty towards her. "Amelia, that's a child," the psychiatrist skeptical said.
