10:22 AM

Betty stood by her locker with Leah, figuring out which book she needed next when a hand ran along her back. "Hey, B," the voice said. Betty looked back to see Tanner clutching her English book and smiling.

"Hey, Tanner. You know Leah, right?" Betty introduces. Tanner looked over at Betty's friend, kindly and nodded.

"Yeah, she's in my theater class. I loved your run in Dancing Through Life. It was everything," she commended. Leah smiled proudly and leaned against the lockers beside Betty's. "So, what are you guys up to tonight?" Tanner asked. Betty and Leah shared a glance before looking back at her.

"My brother's birthday dinner tonight at my house," Betty said. "There's a free chair if you want it," Betty offered, loud enough for her ex to hear coming down the hall.

"Uhh, sure. That'd be really cool. Thanks," she smiled as the bell went off.

"I'll text you the address," Betty said, before they went their separate ways. Leah grabbed Betty's arm as they walked to their science class.

"Didn't you say that Amelia was calling the caterers today? You better tell her you've added someone else so she can have enough food," Leah said.

"Yeah, and she probably already called. Let me call her now, before I forget. I'll meet you in class," she said ducking into the empty bathroom. She waited for Amelia to answer while staring at herself in the mirror. She looked pretty good. Her outfit was chill, her hair was in a curled ponytail, she looked like she didn't try even though she most certainly did.

"Betty why are you calling in the middle of the school day? Are you hurt? Do you need a meeting?" Amelia freaked. Betty giggles at Amelia's overprotective spirit.

"No, mom. I'm fine. I was just wondering if you called the caterers already," Betty asked. She heard Amelia groan loudly and a small laugh on the background.

"Not yet, Teddy and I are at the store picking out Leo's present. Who else did you invite?" Amelia asked.

"You remember Tanner from this morning? Of course you do. Well I invited her. She's really nice and I want you to meet her," Betty gawked.

"Awe!" Betty heard.

"Teddy? Am I on speaker phone?" She asked, causing the woman to laugh.

"Yes. You called as we were getting out of the car, so I put you on speaker so that I could get Leo out. I'm calling the caterer as soon as we get off the phone so please don't add anymore people," Amelia informed. Betty nodded and stared into the mirror one last time.

"Thanks, Mia. I'm gonna go be a good student now! Kiss Leo for me! Bye Teddy!" She said before hanging up. She started to walk out of the bathroom when they jerk from the pervious week stopped her at the door and walked her backwards into the bathroom.

"Remember our deal? Turn around," Grant taunted backing Betty into the corner. Why now? Betty thought as she allowed Grant to do whatever he wanted knowing she couldn't possibly take him. He bent he over the counter and had his way. After what felt like forever to Betty, a knock on the door forced the teenager to finish his mission. Sadly, it wasn't fast enough and he was caught with his pants down.

"Mr. Fulton! Ms. Shepherd-Hunt! Principle Garner's office! Now!" A random Art teacher yelled as he stood in the doorway. Betty quickly got redressed and grabbed her backpack. The two were escorted to the principals office were they sat in silence.

"I'm sorry what? Are sure that's what she was doing?" Amelia asked. Teddy stared at her, concerned. "Okay. I'm on my way," Amelia sighed as she hung up.
