Nate:

I woke up early and cussed when I felt my head aching. I opened my eyes and went to look for my wife. Wala ito sa tabi ko. Napatingin sa orasan. It's exactly 5 am in the morning.

Tumayo ako at naglakad papunta ng banyo. Baka nasa banyo ito. I opened the door but she's not there. I searched for her around the room but she's not here.

"Elise?"

"Where are you?"

Nasa baba na ako pero wala siya.

I saw lolo, he's sitting in the chair and reading newspaper while sipping his coffee.

"Lolo asan si Elise?" I asked.

"Nako maagang umalis. Kasabay ni Sharlene pumasok na."

Tsk! Bakit hindi niya ako ginising man lang para ma hatid siya?

"Where are you going Nate? Mamayang 7am na ang flight mo." Hindi ko siya pinakinggan. I grabbed my key and run into my car. I have to see her before my flight. I need to see her.

I drove fast as much as I could. T-shirt at shorts lang habang naka paa pa.

Dali dali akong bumaba ng makaparada na. But it's too late. The main gate is already closed.

"Let me in." I said to the guard.

"Sorry Sir bawal po magpapasok ng hindi estudyante." Nag init ang ulo ko.
