Authors Note - I wrote this chapter after I watched a meteor shower with that of my beloved mommy. She is my number one hero. I admire her in everything that she does. I couldn't stand it if I were to ever lose her.

"So after that what happened?"

I regress back to that memory and let it take over me now as I tell him all about it...

"I saved his life, Ariana... Hope is alive." I sit upright on my bed. It is early morning and it is my first time awake in this hospital. It's been three days after the incident in which I was stuck in the neck with that wretched needle and I am awestruck by this complete stranger before me. I look down at his name tag as I see tiny letters sprawled across it spelling out the name 'Dr. Taylor'. I look back into this mans light brown eyes.

"You saved his life... Thank you." I whisper through my relief, usually by this time I'd be crying. But I am too exhausted to even cry anymore. Then it hits me, I immediately try to stand up to get out of bed when suddenly I remember that I am in cuffs as the metal restrains me back to the bed. I let out a huff of air as I turn to my doctors and demand immediately with an urgent voice, "Take me to see him now." I snarl.

"But you need to rest Ms. R-"

"I ran on a broken leg just to see him and trust me that hurt! If I can do that, who's to say that I won't cut off my limbs just to see him?" I rudely interrupt my doctor. Instantly my doctor 'Dr. Tates' looks to Hope's doctor 'Dr. Taylor'.

"It's your choice." She shrugs, "It's not like she's going to obey anything I say or ask of her without at least seeing this boy first anyways."

Instantly the kind man turns to me, "Look Miss Raines, I'd love to take you in there to see him but he's in operation right now. There's no way that it'd be possible at this current moment in time."

Somehow this causes me to start begging,"Please, I just need to see him! Even if that means looking through a glass window, I just need to know that he's alive Dr. Taylor you understand that don't you?:

"I understand Miss Ariana, but you must understand that you must be patient. Trust me you will see him when the time is right." But I can't take it, I need to see him now.

"Please! You make me stay and you might as well just kill me now. Because I will refuse to sleep, talk or eat anything for a week! I'll starve myself to death before I get to see him."

"Look Miss Raines, I don't doubt that. But he's in surgery, he's still in very much need of healing at the moment. We have to clean out the wounds and we have to stitch him up or else he will die."

"He's already died once! Who's to say he won't again!" I cry out and Dr. Taylor gently touches my arm.

"If you let us do our job... I can assure you that he won't. Please, our doctors work very hard. Just understand, be patient and please don't make it harder on your doctors. They're just trying to get you to heal faster at your own comfort."

Like a child I do not listen, instead I cross my arms and lie back down as I say "Let the starving begin!" Mentally I can hear Lacey applauding me. With an exhaust of breath Dr. Taylor gets up "Have a good day Miss Raines, you'll see Mr. Estheim soon I promise." I just wave my arm in the air.
