(Hope)
It's funny. Your muscles have a certain memory about them. That's why we can tie our shoes or play piano without looking. But then you spend a long enough time with someone and your bodies... memorize each other, you know? I think of the last time I held you, the warmth of your back, the pace of your heartbeat, your tickly eyelashes, and the way your fingers would curl in sequence when I used to play with your palm. Another person is like moving to a new country where you don't know the language, it's a very scary thing, I panic and that is why I push her away.
"What was that for?"
Looking into her eyes I saw Aria, that is why I picked her. Because Amber's eyes were near the same color as hers. But even still, it didn't feel anywhere near the same. Her eyes just didn't hold that same spark of light like Aria's did.
"I... I have to go, don't speak to me again."
Spinning around I run out the door utterly exhausted and once I am out of the building, I come ot an immediate stop.
What was that Hope?! You barely even know her name! My mind and heart screams at me,
"God, what am I doing? I thought I was done with this!"
I yell aloud kicking over an empty trash can,
I wanted to scream so badly! Just what was wrong with me?!
"Ugh!" I sigh trying to calm myself down as I run my hands over my face completely and utterly frustrated.
"Had another one of your little sessions?"
Jumping at her words, I curse under my breath.
"Oh, hey lace you scared me, I mean I didn't see you there." I chuckled lightly scratching the back of my head as I picked the empty trash can back up.
"Why do you do it then if you hate it so much?" she questions and I can feel her eyes upon me.
I can't help but to sigh, aggravated for I had forgotten just how many questions she always used to ask.
"Do what Lacey?" I growl.
"Why do you keep making out with girls if you despise it so much?"
Jumping off the ledge of the wall that she was sitting on, she takes a bite out of her cherry red apple as she eyes me conspicuously.
"I don't always... hate it."
At this she scoffs, "Okay I'm so sorry! Hm, let me restate this question then, except for Aria why do you h-."
"I don't like Aria!" I snap at her before I even had the chance to think.
She's taken back surprised, she shakes her head, "Then why do you always pick the type of girls that resembles her in some way?"
"What?"
"Hope, trust me... everyone has noticed! Except for her. Every girl your even slightly interested in, in someway they always resemble her. Whether it be their long blond hair or blue eyes, you always pick them."
