Midnight was so glad the first week was over. That meant, for him, the "new kid" vibes will leave peoples mouths. Somewhat. He never liked the label. The fact was that-he just wanted to be called by his name, but unfortunately, people would come up to him and say, "You're the new kid right?"

It was annoying.

But he didn't have to think about it now! It was the weekend (thankfully) Midnight was glad it was the weekend, school had started to get actually real. It was a bright Saturday morning, and Midnight had plans. Mostly homework. However, he did have other plans. Basically watching Netflix romcoms and eating overly buttered popcorn with the slightest bit of cheese sprinkled on top. It was his usual weekend. Also, he wanted to try and socialize with people around town; he needed to make friends someday.  But his anxiety held him back. It always had and he knew it always would. At this time the only people he had socialized with (besides teachers and random students) were his family and other guardians that he was forced to speak to.  He pushed all of this out of his mind, before it could hurt him anymore. He had ran up the stairs and threw his bag beside his closet.  The bag made an urgent thump, he suspected that something important was there; Midnight most likely forgot about that. Midnight slid his sneakers off next to his bed and ran to the shelf his tv was stood on. Under there, was plenty and plenty of his favorite movies. Consisting of: Random thrift store movies he liked the cover of, many romcoms, few horror movies, and the sets that his mother had bought him. Usually it would be a Netflix thing, but sometimes he did watch the movies he owned. He shuffled through them until finding a movie he liked: Love, Simon.

He was in love with this movie, absolutely in love. From the first trailer; he knew he'd like it. And luckily, he did. He saw it in the theaters-Twice by bribing his mother to let him see it. Cried at the ending, And of course, bought the movie itself. He scanned the cover again, as he usually did, and read the blurb. He finished reading it, opened the cover and took out the disc with a careful pull. Midnight looked to the door. He had almost forgot the next piece to his weekend! The popcorn!

Before walking down the stairs, the boy placed the movie in the DVD drive and immediately paused it, (So he wouldn't miss anything) and bolted down the steep white stairs. His other 'mother'  was sat on a stool close to the kitchen doorway when he had arrived to the room. In a way, Midnight wasn't happy with this. He never really liked Lilly, after what he had done to his mother. But he could never say he hated her. He did love her, in a way. And he knew his mother loved Lilly, especially even more after she died and became a healer. He also knew that Fawn needed Lilly, she'd be lost without that girl.

"Hey kid, how was school this week?" She asked as she looked up, seeing him with a uncooked popcorn bag in his hands. Midnight shrugged at her question, opening the wrapper that held the bag and threw it in the trash, running to the microwave and placing the oil covered bag inside. He pressed for it to heat for a minute and thirty seconds (usually the best time). "It was okay, I guess." Couldn't you have asked during the week? His mind followed up with those words, he wouldn't say it thought. Based on the fact that Lilly could scold him. It was honest bullshit. She jumped from the stool and stood in front of him, holding his shoulders. "Sorry I didn't ask during the week; I was helping out with guardian things. Your godmother and mother were very busy with stuff."

He flicked her off of his shoulders. "Or with Willow."

"Midnight not this.." She sighed, pulling her hands to her face in irritation. "I thought we were passed the jealousy.." Midnight shook his head and moved past her to go to the microwave, grabbing his bag and moving to the fridge. He opened it and retrieved the butter. "Guess what? I.Don't.Care." He snapped, finished the preparations of his popcorn and throwing it into a bowl. He didn't even to listen to whatever bullshit Lilly had to respond with as he ran up the stairs, slamming the door. Midnight ran to the DVD player and his T.V before getting comfortable and played the movie. This was hopefully going to be an okay weekend.

For once.
