Lesson continued on after Midnight arrived. He was still anxious over the fact that she called out his name as he walked in. She could have given him a simple nod! Maybe something similar like that, anything but--calling him out.
He payed attention as much as he could throughout the lesson. Only hearing a few words could probably prepare him for the test that was coming at the end of the trimester. Surely. And if he didn't pass, he could get a tutor.
But that was something Midnight would rather avoid.

The day finally ended. Nighttime fell upon the sky. Stars dotting the dark navy sky. He looked out his window, opening it, and poking his head out.
'How are stars so different?' He wondered. 'But all so the same at the same time. Like flowers, distinct but are part of the same family.' Birds chirped from the bush by the downstairs, seeming to reply to his question. Though he knew they couldn't hear it.
Midnight closed down the screen to his window before closing the actual window. He walked to the bed and hopped on. He was already in his Pj's, dressed in them when he got home, so he just layed down, pulled the many blankets he had on his bed over himself, and drifted to a deep, relaxing sleep. For once, it felt like he wouldn't have a vision. He could only hope this was true.

"Midnight," The teacher called out his name as he walked in. His homeroom teacher, Mr. Kelve, was sat in his chair at his desk. Luckily Midnight was the first one in class this time. He came early to study before school started. "Mr. Kelve."
"I actually hoped you would come early." He got up. "I needed to talk to you about your quiz." Midnight put his bag down on his desk as his teacher walked over to him. Shivers ran down his bones. 'I hate talking to teachers,' He thought. 'They always make me feel anxious.'
Mr. Kelve sat on the counter behind his desk, gazing down at him. Midnight took a deep breath, then turned to face him. "You got 25% Midnight," He began. "You know that is not enough to pass the class." He looked away from his teacher, to the floor, then to the board. He wasn't sure where to look. Or what to do. 'I won't pass my class! I have to. I can't go back to guardian school!' He didn't want to freak out, at least not in front of the teacher. "I know," Midnight said finally. "I haven't really got what we are doing. It's a bit confusing to me."
"I've noticed." Mr. Kelve admitted. "I've also noticed you have not really been paying attention."
"I have!" Midnight argued. "Just not--looking when I listen."
"Then maybe you should." He remained calm, jumping down from the counter to walk to the door, he looked back. "You're a good kid Midnight, possibly one of the most unique. But if you can't pass this class, you won't graduate." Midnight couldn't say anything back, as Mr. Kelve opened the door and students piled in. Midnight looked down, feeling a slap to the back of his head. The person that did it, muttered after he sat: "Loser." And class started.
