Midnight and Nick stayed on the kitchen floor for a while. It was quiet, all that came of it was small whispered words. Nick was sympathetic. He didn't tell him everything, but he told him most things about what Levi did. He couldn't say everything.Or at least, the event.
Nick seemed upset when they got back into bed. His fists curled onto eachother when he was under his blanket. Midnight laid at the edge on the other side. He didn't want to disturb him, or talk to him while he was like that. And he was like that because of him. 'It's all my fault.'
Midnight curled the blanket over his arms and tried to sleep. He probably couldn't but he was going to try.
~~~~~~~
The morning came quickly. He fell asleep soon after laying down to try and sleep, or at least that was the intention. Nick was already awake and Midnight could hear him close the door. "Morning." Midnight stretched as he sat up. Blinking his eyes to clear them he could see Nick was putting clothes to the side. "Morning." Nick replied looking slightly back. Midnight couldn't help but feel hot when he realised Nick was shirtless, hardly wearing anything on his legs either. His peach skin was perfect from the angle Midnight could see. He had slight lines on his hip but they were light, stretched maybe.
Midnight rubbed his fingers across his scars. 'How could I compete to someone like him?'
"What are you doing?"
"Picking some clothes out."
Midnight looked out the window. It had to be late morning. "What time is it?" He questioned, scrunching his eyes with his sweater sleeve. Nick breathed. "Nine thirty."
"Nine thirty?!" Midnight shot up from the bed, shoving the blanket off his legs. He started to the door but Nick held his arm up. "Midnight I don't think it's a good idea to go.." Nick folded a shirt and placed it down on the edge of the bed. "You had a panic attack early this morning. At least one am. And you--you can't okay? I have a plan for us."
"Like what?" Midnigt huffed. "Not getting our education. Very important."
Nick chuckled gently, his sarcastic slurp made Midnight edge into annoyence. Nick folded pants next, throwing them on top of the shirt, then repeating with boxers and socks. He slipped his hand under the pile before holding it out infront of Midnight. "You know what's up." Nick stated confidently.
"Whats up?" Midnight took the clothes under his arm. "Am I wearing your clothes again?"
"Yes. What did you bring some?"
"No, I was with Kurt."
"Whose Kurt?" Nick sounded angrythat he even mentioned Kurts name. 'I hardly feel like I can mention it at all. We almost..' Nick folded his arms towards him. "Is he one of those guys that as---" Nick gulped. "I mean, hurt you."
"No!" Midnight shot back defensivly. "He's a friend from my old school." Midnight started to the bathroom, holding the clothes in his closed hands. Nick cleared his throag, assumingly needing his attention. "Old school. You're going to have to talk about that." He nodded as Midnight looked back. "Anyway. Take a shower. I'll be here if you need me."
"Right." Midnight looked at him, feeling his cheeks burn with that feeling he had told Dawn about. 'Stop you look like an idiot.' "Yeah I'll see you."
~~~~~
Nick drove Midnight down the driveway and down another road. The dirt roads soon ended at a small highway. Nick didn't even flinch driving on it. Midnight would have if he ever had to drive. Which he probably wouldn't.
