The Monday morning was possibly one of the most exhausting mornings Midnight had in a while. Mondays were always his least favorite days, and this day wasn't going to be any different.

He was awoken to the blaring of his loud alarm, the sound hitting right into his ear. His arm was brought up by his tired body, smacking the fairly large 'snooze' button. Honestly at this moment, Midnight felt like he was in in one of those traditional and cheesy teen movies. Where the main character was waking up to go to another dreadful day of school. Sometimes it would be their first day, this was Midnight's ninth. But smacking the snooze didn't prove to do anything, as a knock started at his door. Continuous, soft knocks. "What?!" He yelled. Hand was on his face,  covering his eyes, the knocks stopped. A voice came from the other side, "Midnight, you need to wake up for school. I thought I would have been late. But it seems that you're being lazy and not even awake yet."

He let out an annoyed groan, "Fuc-Whatever. I will be down in like," He checked the clock on his alarm. Lethargic eyes struggled to open, his clock showed the time 'Seven-fifteen' "Five minutes." Midnight flopped his legs from their laying position and flung the blanket to the side. It almost hit the wall instantly. But no noise came from the hit. His arms propped him to lift his entire body and got up to go towards the closet. Hands pulled forcefully at the knobs, the cluttering making it hard to enter. There were many outfits. Never were they lined up perfectly or matched together. Midnight frantically looked for a sweater, gathering a red flannel that would work instead with a black shirt, then grabbed a pair of plain grey jeans with a few rips on the knee. Getting himself all gathered with his bag and school things, he zipped out of his room with a fast swift of air following him.

Arriving downstairs, he found his mother standing right before the door, arms crossed annoyingly across her chest. "Five minutes late Midnight; I thought I told you to get here sooner."

"What? It can't be seven twenty already! I timed everything and got up at the right-."

Fawn ignored his try for reasoning, turning to open the door. Midnight followed; not any much ready for his first day.

~~~
The halls were almost as loud as ever when he walked in, people crowded at certain lockers, partners exchanging in romantic gestures before class. It was a usual day that he knew. Or one that he has seen for his time being there. Despite this, Midnight skipped to his locker, unlocking it and pulling out the things for his first class.
But before he was finished organizing his things. Footsteps approached him. 'Please don't be bullies. please don't be--'
"You're the new kid right?" He snapped away from his mind full of worry to look over to his side. There was a short, blonde girl standing next to him. He nodded slowly at her question. "Um..my friend thinks you're cute and wants to sometime go out.." She glanced behind her which made him look as well. Another girl was there surrounded by her friends; biting her lip in a sexual manner.
"God no."  He held his lips together. "I can't do that. I don't like.."
She handed him a slip of paper. "Call her sometime." He took the paper with hesitation, his hands shaking as he did. "Thanks." He shut his locker after that encounter and made his way towards the class.  If this was what it was going to be like, Midnight was going to have a wild ride.
