The weeks flew by like a stream across the rocks. It was no longer as sunny as it used to be, now it was cold almost everyday. The snow that covered the ground was getting higher as more storms came. New York did get snow frequent during the early months of winter.  It was only November, and thanksgiving was close.

First quarter was almost over now, which was one of the things Midnight could be thankful for. But sadly, he hadn't found any real friends. Or romantic interests (not that he wanted to). There were a couple of cute guys, but he would never try to talk to them. He couldn't really.

Walking into school this day, it was different. Outside there were some suspicious guys in leather jackets. Yes, he had noticed them before, but it's like they wanted to be seen this time. One of guys was staring at him. Midnight could tell that he didn't want to be seen doing this. Though his staring was weird, he found this guy incredibly cute. His hair was spiked and ruffled, his eye-color bright. He couldn't really tell the color. But it was bright. Maybe he's just interested in who I am. I did come here not to long ago. He thought, curious.
Before Midnight could walk over and say something, the leader of the guys walked into the building, his hand guiding the few others to follow closely. He didn't want this to change his day, so he kept walking to to get to the entrance.

If class wasn't boring enough, lunch would be worse. It was always loud and obnoxious, but he had to get used to it eventually. It was already three months into the year.

At his locker, Midnight shoved his things inside, despite the lack of space at this point with all of the books from teachers and random pencils he found in the halls. He sensed after a few moments that he wasn't alone, there was a now filled space which was empty before. A thick scent of cigarettes filled his nose. He didn't like it.

His heart hammered. Blood running cold, his mind screamed out for help but couldn't understand why. Maybe it was just a few guys getting their stuff! Surly it was nothing bad or serious. Midnight tried to calm himself, this was nothing, completely n-

"Why are you still at your locker?" The harsh voice came and in, cutting off his thoughts. Midnight stood still. Maybe they would leave if he acted like it didn't effect him. The scent didn't leave. Even after a few minutes of his silence. The locker next to him was hit with a loud metal pound. It made an unpleasant ring in his ears, making him flinch. He guessed this was meant to get him to reply.

Still, out of fear; Midnight stayed silent.

"I asked you a question bitch." The scent pulled closer to him, hovering above his shoulder. He shivered at the even stronger cigarette breath hitting his skin. "I-m getting my things.." Midnight stammered. He hoped they were just pestering him and would go away, but as close as they were? Not a chance. They were almost close enough that he could get a vision by a swift move of his hand.

As he was shutting his locker with books for the next class in hand, the books fell to the ground, being slammed with a unexpected hand. No one else was in the hall. But the boys in black jackets. Midnight quickly scampered to pick up his papers and open books covering the hallway floor around him. He was going to be late to class, again. Thanks to these idiots. He grumbled attempting to pick them up. One of the guys ran over, kicking a book farther from Midnights reach. He heard them all laugh loudly behind his back. "Get to your fucking class." They began to walked passed him, one slapping the back of his head hard before catching up.

It took long enough for Midnight to gather his things, shoving papers into one of the binders and carrying his bend books open. He rushed to class. Fast walking passed class rooms and running to the rest. Thankfully when he arrived to class, the door was open, he didn't have to knock on the door to get it open. That would be embarrassing enough. Midnight bolted into the class, arriving to the teacher talking already with the students all in their seats. She snapped her head to him, "You're late Midnight. Sit."

In embarrassment, he walked hastily to his seat, dropping his things on the desk. 'She didn't have to announce it!' He cried in his head. Students were still staring at him.

Midnight  hoped this wouldn't happen tomorrow. He didn't want to be late again. This was already anxious enough. And it wouldn't be better if it happened again.
